Script

Script

Zoom zoom goes the car with drug dealers

Being chased by the cops in a spotted deal

The exchange was spotted by the police

Who gave chase six shooters drawn

Firing at the fleeing BMW that sped away

Bullets zinged into it others were fired back

It was a right cowboys and Indians time

Just like a movie film with John Wayne

Who will win the cops or dealers?

It’s just like a films script but real

Premium MemberMother Zamia Tree

A lot of really big trees had died to make that desk. His mother had probably gnawed them down, used her nails to saw the boards, and finished the decorative cutwork with her tongue.
Jennifer Crusie

My mom kept a patch of zamia trees,
          freeze brook zigzagged and zinged,
zesty zephyr's laid cape from breeze,
                    zap zander tinned.

She accomplished zoning using a zax,
she led my zest and dream,
      I can't cool off, I can't relax,
                    zealous esteem.

She shields me from rain and zenithal wind,
she kept zeal to be strong,
by lead and zaniness of mind,
                    zigs right from wrong.

Premium MemberWords Dive Bomb Me

Words dive bombed my hands and my feet
Pelting me like missiles.
Needles going into my pores.
I screamed.
I could not fend them off.
It felt like acupuncture on speed.

The words were scary and mean
Decidedly determined to hurt, horrify and humiliate me
I was putty in their perfect, putrid, pelts.
I begged for mercy.
They made me pick up a pen.
They forced me to write.
Ouch! One just zinged my ear.
Apparently I have not satisfied them yet….

Premium MemberThree Limericks On 'The Strike' --- Three Different Points of View

TEACHERS'S UNION

Lori Lightfoot's no better than the rest
Crafty wiles and forced smiles don't pass our test
   She promised the moon
   She crooned a sweet tune
Then she zinged us with zealotry and zest

        LORI LIGHTFOOT

I may be short, but I'm as tough as nails
No one can deny me my 'Holy Grail'
       I ignore shenanigans
I fear not Union 'big guns'
I will not let our kids -- or city -- fail!

     AVERAGE CHICAGOANS

We think that both parties have some good points
Though we're not eager to either anoint
     Lightfoot gives away the moon
The Union acts like big goons
~ The school kids and parents left out of joint

9 Kisses In the Library Contest of 9

9 KISSES IN THE LIBRARY

First kiss meandered through Sci Fi by the purple
wall. The tender second kiss arrived around the bend.
mumbling 3rd and 4th excuses as she frog jumped
twin matrons chatting with their dead and absent friends.
Sweet and slow-- the next three left her breathless--
Zinged and knocked her senseless to her bony knees.
She braced herself--for just two more--oh, please--
At 9pm she's startled by a subtle shoulder tap,
Bodice ripper pages shuddered with a final schoolgirl snap.
