(FND awareness)
Functional Neurological Disorder
Sounds far more serious than required.
However, life now makes more sense.
That's how it is. It's the way I'm wired.
I thought I had a medical "epsy"
Due to crazy symptoms that make one tired.
It's good to know it's only FND.
It's not my fault. It's the way I'm wired.
The structural hardware works just fine.
(An explanation I've now hired...)
The wiring itself is up the creek,
So the wrong signals get fired.
Why have I come in here?
My memory has expired!
Yet, suddenly I remember that
It's down to the way I'm wired.
There's never a dull moment.
So much humour can be inspired!
There's many a joke that can be told
About the way I'm wired.
The Reflection
Just inside the John Deere sales and service store
A short man with an orange stocking cap stood
He was just standing there looking at a display
The strange thing was he did not move with closer observation
It seemed he had no lower body, whoa!!
The more I looked my brain is analyzing the situation
Then I saw more clearly, definitely it wasn't a man
It was the zero-turn lawn mower on the outside of the building
The reflection on the window, sending out the wrong signals
There was left no middle,
of the path. It was a washed-
out theme and
negative numbers.
No bounce in the steps.
You were cowering in terror
of tomorrow. The fear
overwhelmed the alp.
It was a family feud,
from ashes to bones.
The mixed cadence was sending
the wrong signals to the walls.
The voices now come on the street,
for traditional wars, in
change of seasons. It
was raining out of turn.
