The Reflection

Just inside the John Deere sales and service store
A short man with an orange stocking cap stood
He was just standing there looking at a display
The strange thing was he did not move with closer observation
It seemed he had no lower body, whoa!!
The more I looked my brain is analyzing the situation
Then I saw more clearly, definitely it wasn't a man
It was the zero-turn lawn mower on the outside of the building
The reflection on the window, sending out the wrong signals

Sara, I love the irony, opportunity for wit, and the rather apt title which is a reflection in every sense of that word. Our surroundings can at least momentarily be a mischievous prankster. Excellent hindsight creation Howard

Very funny! Similar illusions have happened to me. I would hate to have to swear to something in court, if a matter of great importance. Helping possibly to falsely convict someone. I bless all judges, not a job I would want.

They call it pareidolia. It might give one a strange, odd or scary feeling interpreting shadows into human or animal and other shapes. An interesting observation Sara. I hope you stayed calm...ab

Quite an interesting take on a probable miscalculation. A shadow or reflection can often mislead. A stick may appear as a snake or an image of man can frighten us as a ghost. Enjoyed !
