The Lady Smithy
By: Miracle Man
6/4’2023

The words she used were sharp and pithy,
she had huge arms, her being a smithy.
She didn’t stammer,
and she had glamour,
She eloped with a man surnamed Withy.

Lost Heaven

I belong to an abscondered valley...
Where people are squandered by the armed moochers...
The whimsical parasites are more bigoted than a malingerer...
A false dogma- to Shanghai , to deadlock and then to murder; is what they feel their pride on...
To witness massacres, mopes and moodiness is all what they yearn to flourish for...
The lewd creatures feel they are husky enough to eradicate anyone coming their dirty way...
To kill the husbands and maim the children; is what they feel is their timepass fun...
They ridicule the senile ones too,...
They are fiendish draftsman and a plague for the entire kind...
The time coming will surely make them pallid and relentless would the time be...
The devout would rise and finish the remaining flithe...
For I believe my home will be free as it once stood...
Bounded by mountains, the children will be busy playing hopscotch and hide and seek...
The lovers would be enjoying the early spring in the meadows so high and bright...
The Chinar leaves will bid a rustling goodbye...
The place called paradise would be synonymous withy valley...
For the fact ,..., it is actual heaven; if it exists on earth...

So many reasons given for love
on why 'I love you' but is that true?
why do we need a reason for it?
many love letters written but what's new

Can we not love yes L-O-V-E
just because that's what we feel
hey do we need to feel to know it
give it your tongue withy a squeal

She loves you yea! yea! yea! Beatles said
knowing it can't be bad but is it really good?
you want to love that's so very indescribable
blows your whole being it doesn't need be nude

This needs a special person no less
where, why or when is the question
well life has the answer out there
so go out to feel love your lesson

Love is such a special feel effect
an explanation beyond your mind
when one senses what it's about
you know for sure love can't be blind

("Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It's not 'I love you' for this or that reason, not 'I love you if you love me.' It's love for no reason, love without an object.")

Premium MemberFair Day

fair day

tinkers came this morning
out of the melting sun
like a rainbow in a cloud of dust
their caravans noisily come

music swirled about them
and women's ribbons flew
in their coal black hair red roses
still wet with the morning's dew

rat tat tat on the pots and pans
rat tat tat on their women too
the village men stood stiffly 'round
their faces glum mouths turned down
when the tinkers came to town

the village men burn with lusty fire
for tinker girls are sweet
but never closer could they come
to the swiftly dancing feet

'round and 'round like Christmas tops
skirts high above their waist
willow withy women danced
while their men they robbed the place

rat tat tat on the pots and pans
rat tat tat on their women too
the village men stood stiffly 'round
their faces glum mouths turned down
when the tinkers came to town

anxious to be off again
fairy vaner ponies stamped
flowing mane and tails held high
they pranced around the camp

now at dusk and shadows creep
too the music all must yield
not a blade has been disturbed
across that empty field

Premium MemberThe End of the Road

A terminal always comes to us
wherever we are in life's pathway
it can't be escaped no matter what
faced head on or else we stray

There was a time in my life
when thoughts were doom and gloom
no social activity withy no confidence
future looked to have little bloom

This I climbed out from
by taking in hand my pen
finding social correspondence
lifting negativity up from my den

Then confidence started to come
feeling sure better days ahead
looking back painful but essential
now feeling real street cred

Still feel inadequate at times
but remind myself these times past
be sure life has many lessons
growth comes if you hold fast

There in 1876 Duke being Leopold
arrives in NY travelled through time
being steeped in chivalry
not gentlemanly is crime

Modern trends shocked him
for ladies got respect
with courtesy and kindness
wise woman would select

Chivalry it seems is rare
watch Kate and Leopold
learn afresh if you dare

This is written withy a little help from the outline of the 2001 movie 'Kate and Leopold' starred Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan.

Premium MemberA Circle Green In Seasons Scene

Wreath twisted by handwork combined
A wreath with strands of holly and vine.
A seasonal sign the withy willow with blood beads red
With branches by hand, a woven wreath design.
Wreath writhing wrists work wildly,
Wildly within a world worn worthy, winter wanted,
And work-ed wreath, to enliven winter whitened door or walls,
Wreath in the wild winter will wild wishes fulfil.

Ferris Wheel

You keep my head spinning around.
You never take my hand anymore.
You always try to bring me down,
and ruin my dreams I have in store.
Guilt is written all over your face.
I'm not sure I really understand.
You're not staying with me another day.
I can find myself a real good man.
Don't keep me riding your ferris wheel.
This heart of mine is hard to heal.
Some things you do just don't seem real.
Don't keep me riding your ferris wheel.
Why do you keep wasting my time?
I'm tired of your little white lies.
Your sad song alliby.
Your messing around withy my mind.
Yeah! The rain is falling down.
But I assure you it won't be my tears hit the ground.
I'll stop the wheel from spinning around.
You'll get what you deserve.
I won't be second best to her.
Don't keep me riding your ferris wheel.
This heart of mine is hard to heal.
Some things you do just don't seem real.
I'm not riding your ferris wheel.
