Tis the year of his great shame
It's not his fault, all he did bears no blame
He faced the fickle fate, tried to stand its weight
Ultimately, he still failed, and this poem tells his tale
Paragon of light, the hammer's champ, were just some of his names
Everywhere he came, peace and harmony stayed
Selfless and kind, mentor to the young and famed
His favorite pupil was the king's own heir
He saw his own self in the young boy's flair
Treating him just like everyone else
He imbued the boy with the light's guidance
Together, they fought well, tried to stop the evil's sway
He never knew the prince's soul bore a dark curse
Faced with evil - hatred and revenge seeped into his pupil's braincase
Genocide and slaughter ended up as the prince's favorite ways
He tried to stop his pupil's wrong and erroneous traits
Yet all he attempted was of no avail
Darkness replaced light in the prince's heart
And so their final clash no one could thwart
Evil's triumph, light's fall, our hero's bitter tears outpoured

A Few twisted minds
or if people combine,
it’s a perception untwined or a deception well tried.
If everyone’s kind
and see’s preconceptions as lies
people unite
Then the masses Aline

O muse ... the lauded poet Homer called
to Odysseys 'cross time enthralled
please tell the tale of warriors lost
of Troy's fall, of heart and of pride.
'cross the vellum pressed, Homer cried.
"Set course for Greece and damn the cost,"
Odysseys on his black ship bawled
orders as his crew there oars hauled
for windless were the seas criss-crossed.
The Siren's sang and woe betide
the men who heard them died wide-eyed
as to the mast Odysseys tossed.
All with him died the tale recalled
on Ithaca the King arrived,
to battle for his Kingdom most lost;
his Queen to claim, his long lost bride
he'd win her now with bow well tried.
The scroll retold and was embossed.

I hope I didn’t lose respect
From any person who did read
Of my hopeless nightmare impact
A horrible day shown indeed
Please understand I didn’t mean
Terrible life implications
It may show that I am unseen
Worthless being indications
But I tried to do what was right
I lose, no matter how I look
But please do not hate me tonight
For I did suffer as I hurt
She did do this to me that day
I don’t lie just for attention
It happened just as I did say
The nightmare keeps its retention
I hope I didn’t lose respect
For telling my day of terror
I’m not weak though as you inspect
It seems I am just in horror
Maybe telling my day of fright
Just wasn’t the best thing to do
Sat in tears when I wrote that night
Telling of my nightmare to you
I hope I didn’t lose respect
From all you precious friends out there
I meant well, tried not to infect
Wanted you to see I do care
