his name's been on every child's lips
in whirls of fantasy, whimsy, slips and trips
synonymous with awe and wonder
we all grew up with the machinations
of Disney's wild and vivid imagination
a man with the grandest of vision
beautifully executed with precision

Today’s blessing takes its inspiration from Walt Disney
whose wisdom can’t be overstated..
Just look at all the joy and laughter
In the wonderful world that he created:
May we be blessed to understand….
The answer to this aging quiz…
That growing old is not our choice
But how we choose to grow old is.

A work in progress his dreams will always be.

To this day his Disneylands are still plussing.

I remember the exclusive Walt Disney days,
We used to travel there with our parents.
Stayed at a beautiful timeshare Limetree, Sarasota.
Then we visited the Walt Disney kingdom.
Father Dr. Wolf would drive us there,
We bought tickets for Walt Disney world.
Our parents were just the nicest parents you could know,
There was a parade when you came to visit.
They had many activities, my recollection of those days is limited.
Many nice boutiques, I purchased two T shirts for Kirk and Erik, our sons.
We would walk along the white sandy beach and collect sea shells,
Then we would travel to St. Armands on the bus for twenty-five cents.
We dined at the exclusive harbor restaurant and the hotel restaurant,
Our mother and father used love to take us dinning.
Our timeshare was right on the beach,
You could walk for hours, what a beautiful sunrise and sunset each day.

Walt made Mickey a mascot of fantasy.
They grew together building a legacy.
According to his lovely wife,
They mirrored each other's personality of life.

A short while back when Shayla was three, Written just for Barbara's Contest.
I took my granchild's child to the Zoo with me.
She sat in he stroller as we pushed her around,
And she knew almost every creature we found,
Lion goes "RRRR" and Tiger goes "Roar,"
Hippos go "plplplpl" which I'd not heard before.
She knew elephants, horses, gorillas and monkeys,
She knew snakes and Gnus and eurasian donkeys.
Since the day was warm and the child needed a nap,
We sat in the shade on a blanket with her head on my lap.
We ate our lunch as I watched our dreamer,
Who woke and ate hers then pointed up at a lemur.
"Julian" cried the child, "Thats right" cried her mother,
And I looked from one grandkid to another.
When we got home, the child ran to prove it.
In Madagascar, thats a Julian who likes to move-it moveit.
