My Heart Is Yours

Your face is the first one I see before waking, and the last before I rest.
You hold the key to my heart and soul, whilst I had burnt it to dust.
In your eyes, I find warmth, and in your arms, I feel safe.
I whisper your name in every wish I make and every prayer I pray.

Your touch is etched on my skin, and your words forever echo in my ears.
I still search for you wherever I go, hoping one day I won’t be alone.
It is you I search for in the souls of people I see, hoping that fate surprises me.
At night, I count the stars shining bright, hoping that one day, our constellations will unite.

I look out of the window, sewing a scarf, for someone who only exists in my heart.
When I remember the letter you wrote, the nostalgia chokes in my throat.
When I hear your old voicemails, I’ll imagine your smiling face
And when I listen closer, it’s your pulse that I hold close and dear.

Her

"Sitting on my bed...
Holding my phone in my hand...
I hear the rain outside...
The memories i had of you..
Came back to light...

So long had i wished to meet you...
To spend a day with you...
To follow you wherever you went...
To be your shadow...
A shadow that never follows the rule of light...

The moments you were angry...
The times i made you sad...
My tries to make you smile
And the tears that came out of your eyes...
The regret i carry for those moments...
Are beyond something one could measure...

The times your called...
The ways you talked...
Your voice when you laughed
And your naive attitude when you said...
Whatever ??...

The secrets you told me...
To the voicemails u sent me...
I listen to them regularly...
To find a reason or another just to message u daily??....

Time passed the memories remained the same...
The ages increased but the distance remained the same...
The bonds deepened but the progress remained the same...

Every night before i sleep ..
I always look at your pictures and smile...
In a hope to meet you one day...
Atleast while iam alive"

Shattered

My heart lies so heavy as I
Grasp for my lover who
Isn't with me.
We are no longer on the same page.
I long with his bear hugs
I long for his deep passionate french kisses
Where tongues dance on a floor
I swoon in his arms
Why did he leave me so suddenly?
No note, no text, no call, no email
Nothing but an emptiness
And shattered heart
Tears that continually flow
Does he ever bother thinking of me?
Was I a nuisance to him?
I need some sort of closure
To get over this..
But he doesn't even care or bother with
my shattered heart.
Have a few pictures of him
And two voicemails
His quiet voice
And at the end of each message
He said I love you!
Did he really know what love was all about?
Every time I listen to the messages, tears start to flow.
I weep uncontrollably
Will someone gather me in their arms
With my tears flowing on their shoulders.
How can one mend a shattered heart
It was torn from my chest cavity
Thrown into the street
Where people could stomp on it.

A Message To These Girls On the 'Net

This is a message to these girls on the ‘net:
You are just lucky I haven’t met you yet.
I’m on to your games – I’m well aware;
Let me warn you, I’m not easy to scare.

(Go ahead and flirt with him)

Type up your cutesy comments,
All those desperate texts? I hope they’re sent.
Call him a hundred times and two more;
Leave enough voicemails to make your voice sore.

(Show him how desperate you really are.)

He’s mine now – all mine – so you better get a hint.
I’m getting really tired of this stupid stint.
Go find a life; go find a boy in reality.
It’s not my fault your heart has been a causality.

My boyfriend’s “cute”, my boyfriend’s “deep.”
Man, do you really think he’s that neat?
He’s a good listener – I know – makes you feel like you’re something.
Let me inform you: you are nothing.

I'll remind you again, he loves me
And I’m the only girl he wants to see.
Your words mean absolutely nothing to him.
So stop it … he’s not interested.

Teardrops On An Open Flame

Bitter tears, sleepless nights,
You endured to ease my mind,
All these years without a sight,
A new love you had to find,
Your friendship rejected repeatedly
Anger inspired by my hand,
Jealousy was bleeding free
Too harrowing to understand

Elevated tones, harsh words,
Pushed at you from my pain,
Broken bonds, diction absurd
Until hate was directed at my name,
Sentences transformed to stones
Until apologies soon bounced off her,
Voicemails and dial tones
No chance to reconsider her offer

Same love, wedding rings,
News delivered by your voice,
Too late for changing things
You are elated by your choice,
Hindsight gained, love lost,
Succumbed to anger, paid the cost,
She hates me now, with me to blame
As I cry teardrops on an open flame

Saving Lives

All around the world people are excercizing their right
to join the texting and cellular phone fight,
Folks are declaring "No Phone" zones in their cars,
paying more attention to and fro,
Conquering their demons so they can watch their
families grow,

No one wants to arrive to their destination messy
and emaciated,
Put the phones away!
On the road is where all eyes should be fixated,

Voicemails were created to pick up the slack,
if you don't answer,
The caller will get back,

A text or a phonecall can't reach you
when you are six foot under,
Technology is out of control!
Think before making blunders.
