When the storms came it was catastrophic
They came with cattle bashing hammers
Winds whipped up in ferocious tornado action
They came with the giant cyclops on their backs
Angry because of the extra visual acuity missing
They were wielding axes too to slaughter more cows
Revenge is sweet for one eyed beasts
No milk for you, you filthy animals
No hamburgers on a toasted bun
You meat eating savages with no regard for life
Human or otherwise. Shame on you.
Hold the onions and fries while I cry
Cows don't live inside because they hate you
Invisible forces blew through shuttered windows
When the winds came in it was with a vengeance
But there were no cattle inside
They had already died
Open ranges can be dangerous for grass eating critters
Weeks later new cattle arrived on the prairie
When the flying saucers came from outer space
It was worse than anything imaginable on Earth
Invisible forces drew each cow up one by one
In a line for the sake of efficiency
What happened next we can not say
But we began to eat hot dogs (the ones without the tails)
Do aliens really like cows more than people?
We wonder if we all taste like chicken to them

Moral Ambiguity and Perpetuity
Trump has turned into a terrible tactician
Trails he will take leave us with suspicion,
Due to what is now his poor visual acuity
Along with moral ambiguity and perpetuity;
In White House started another stupid tradition.

dirt twirls and dances between the rows
in slow curly q archs
with the same meandering intensity of a lazy summer afternoon as the sun beats down leaving
shimmering specks like a great photo voltaic pond
slightly bending visual acuity in the process
leaving behind a kind of dreamlike haze
just as easily forgotten as remembered
all this is the backdrop to the steady hum of the John Deer
moving earth with an unhurried confidence
one chunked plot of land at a time
no more no less
all the while the lone hawk looks on from its power line throne
on the corner crisp apples are sold
dipped in caramel and sold on a stick
to the bouncing children energetic from the long car ride
all is well in the central valley

The spaceship contest
First things first, start with ingenuity
A good pair of glasses to help with visual acuity
And of course a good set of directions would work
You could assemble a team and a sales clerk
Determine a budget
A trip for wire and cardboard to Target
Create a small scale and give it a test
Spend hours upon hours getting obsessed
Try to contact NASA for advice
You’ll be lucky if they call you back and they’re nice
Laugh a lot, really laugh
When you run out of ink while drawing on your graph
Film a video and make a fool of yourself
The next day your movie has been stolen by a little elf
Take a trip to the junkyard or the dump
Dig up some old metal and plastic covered in grump
What ever you do don’t upset your wife
By spilling oil and cutting the counter with a knife
Spend many hours having lots of fun
Twisted up in a enormous mess thinking you’ve won
Inspired by Matt Caliri how to build a spaceship contest!
