de vieillards, de femmes, d'enfants
de fleurs innocentes…sont morts
Là où la barbarie gravite,
là où l'espoir est perdu,
là où la compassion fronce les sourcils,
là où la vie est minuscule
et la mort une fleur rusée…
là où elle-même est perdue,
sans laisser de trace…
Là où la vertu dégénère
et où l'amour perd pied…
Où iront les papillons ?
A-mid shared thoughts,
shuffled 'cross mortal uncoil,
no central judge;
choices re-sound, choices spoil.
Principles form an unspoken pact,
reciprocity in action, a silent (re)act.
In trans-action of duties, a treaty defined,
acknowledgment, values, (re)flections, they bind.
Not a-lone acts, rather sharing confessions,
indices echo (echo) moral impressions.
Choices ripple ~ a moral surge ~ ennui overtakes,
no single emotion can play ducks-and-drakes.
In life's upturns,
steepening truths subtly heaved,
concrete reverbs, in every gesture, conceived.

Et je suis soumis
Par ta vertu
Sainte fille du Seigneur
Je t'adore et je t'aime

Across the River, West 'tis that
at the cliffs & clefts of Victoria above
blackish waters slick as Legislation, of Verrazzano
& not-so-merried ferries, the promontory sits of
visage, resplendented of red deer & red bear &
white Eagles' scat from Lady Liberty!
Why, in the glare of where, opossum
& red squirrel, vied in-passioned
imposters of small virtue in deed
sought, wrought of purloin
for some vertu & bijouterie
for Manhattan!
(The Chief Islander) - so the Mythic goes!
But hey!, it's up-on the BigScreen, now
playin' @ The Bijou, & in the dutri-plexes
& plexes of plexiglasse &
MegaPlexes of Tribeca, in the Tri-boros+2...
Avaunt! Above Verrazzano visage
tramontane, there! the Filth & Flair
of City fare, miasma which got us into
insouciant Dutch!
