Rose colored glasses long ago shattered...
No time for phantom kisses...
Nor faux acts of love...
The keeper of this heart—
will captivate me unpretentiously...
Taking me as I am...
Sweeping me off my feet
sending my soul on a mission of surprise
mingled with admiration...
Whisk me away on his magic carpet—
to a special place with the prospect of sharing
a spirituality that’ll rival mythical God’s...
Build a trust that no one can bring to naught...
Be my hero—my gift with no expected reciprocity...
Hold me in his arms with insane intensity;
as if there is no tomorrow...
Make me feel loves heat
with no intention of starting a fire...
Awe me with his contemplation of my desires
without my asking...
Penetrate my heart with a percussion
that strikes a cord of sweet melodies...
Igniting a conscious love journey
that will renew time and time again
as we vehemently love each other veraciously...

A BOX FACTORY
During the time of enslavement,
Many stories were told.
Life as a Mississippian was not uncovered.
In Black History, no one knows the tale
Of Wolfe’s Plantation there in the hills.
Life is a plentiful.
They farm cotton and planted corn.
They raise pigs, chickens, and hogs.
They fish as a pastime.
They embraced their struggles and strife.
Down the road a bit is a colored man’s home.
He’s jubilant in his daily chores.
He works hard to take care of himself.
He loves his family and provides their financial support.
He is a tenant farmer and a leader for the plantation boss.
Life is a holistic nub.
Jep gives his first and foremost respect to the Lord.
He had taken over the farm for his father.
Wolfe’s Plantation was different from the others.
Imagism veraciously boxed.
Today, technologically constructed for stratagem and discovery.
This box factory is metropolis revamp.
Yesterday can be revived innovatively once again.

Braces make brushing difficult
Be warned!! don't regale others
With tooth cheese --yuck!
Brush veraciously, two minutes or more
Two or three times a day
clean around those brackets
Or your teeth will crumble!

Except the fact, He died for all our sins.
Almighty Gods’ Son showed us love.
Sincerity of the most precious gift for all,
Taking our sins upon the cross to bear,
Enveloped love in his daring passion.
Rebirth for all from a single, simple belief
Life is precious, but the hereafter is more.
Inside us all is a choice, we make alone.
Veraciously, we are upon the threshold.
Each one chooses, do not deny, betray or hide.
Say these words, “I believe he died for me“.

Shall raw and bleeding wounds gape wide for thee
and overcoat each new parchments’ page?
Are thee foul succubus seeking a sage
undead and living vicariously?
Shall another’s soul flow unbound to thee
like a courtesan released from her cage
each tomes rich with crimson text overlaid.
So alone, thee can dine veraciously?
Shall life come a courting as thy subject?
Nay, lance the ripe boil of lassitude.
Purge thy barren cloister genuflect.
Author thine own life thee are not destitute.
Expand into the world, let life project.
Arise, pale spirit and the sun exude.

Was it you that I sensed in the distance
as I stood in the dark looking up at the stars?
Veraciously believing that you existed,
still having no clue who you really are.
Faces reminded me of what I was seeking
though they didn't hold the spirit of the one I will love.
Fumbling and falling, suffering, resisting
Doubting that you truly exist after all.
Then, suddenly the pieces fit altogether and
grayness slowly dissolved off the past.
A history with meaning, yet lacking a purpose began
to illuminate the reasons it's had.
Every lesson, every heart ache, every passion
has led me to you.
Every moment through years of anguish was worth it because
it's helped me know you.
Every day spent recoiling, emerging, into and out of
confusion and pain.
Straining to come to some understanding.
Grasping at truth while it jumped out the way.
Every instance of my existence now shines before me
in a different light.
Since every piece came to fruition
so that I could recognize you in this life.
