Time To Face It, My Demon Collaboration
Demon one gets you up early cause it's a clock,
Device full of pep, and alarming that will shock,
That was then, demon two, a bag of fresh coffee,
But, this is now when demon three in a bagged tea,
How I hate them, pick me no pick me, I am stuck,
Early mornings the parade begins, no such luck,
Unreasonable demands that soon I must pay,
Unyieldingly demanding boss who ruled the day,
But I did love them, fixed the clock, and drank them both,
Seems so long ago, like two hours, I took the oath,
Now they're ruthless neighbor's dog, demon number four,
Like tic-tac-toe, I just can't do them anymore,
I'm past my prime and out of time, my last demon,
Am I sleeping, am I dreaming, am I leaving.

Up early and off to school I must go
Full of pep and not too slow,
That was then when I was young
This is now a new age I have begun,
How I hate them as I climb out of bed
Early mornings are for the dead,
Unreasonable I must seem
Unyieldingly demanding where is my coffee cream,
But I did love them bed and pillow
Seems so long ago I dreamed of an armadillo,
Now they‘re ruthless dreams
I just can’t do them with ice cream,
I’m now past my prime teens.

DAWN TRIAL DENIAL
I felt the warmth of sun it rose up early
The world was bright and young but that was then
Felt full of pep, perceived no aspect surly
Sensed: This is now, shall be! time and again
These changes I now feel oh! How I hate them
When early mornings tear my peace asunder
Unreasonable it seems; what is the stem?
Such unyieldingly demanding stillness plunder
But I did love them then those golden dawns
As though in Eden; seems so long ago
Yet now they‘re ruthless and Exile is born
Should I assert I just can’t do them so?
Admit I’m past my prime? Set for next phase
Or wake, walk once more on these fields of praise.

Early mornings
How I hate them
Unreasonable conclusions
No stimulations
But I did love them
Unyieldingly demanding
Full of pep
Only if they knew
That was then
This is now
Up early
I just cannot do them
Things are out of control
I am past my prime
Seems so long ago
Now they are ruthless
No where to hide
Now they are clueless
No knowledge to acquire
No more confusion

Turn Away Dreams
Up late
Full of yawning
That was yesterday's dawning
This is now just on rewind repeat
How I hate the hours without sleep
Late mornings, later moonless shadowed nights
Unreasonable enchanted soured tasteless delights
Unyieldingly nightmares commanding attention
How I loved them once, adventure interventions
Was it thrice and so long ago
I just don't know
The fires used to be fanning embers burning
Now they're restless again emptied yearnings
I do them blind without question
I've spent all my dimes in past reflection
Face it, turn swift away
Age is now mere contemplation of the day

There are too many of us.
Unyieldingly sane, unthinkingly sane, all too sane,
too few know this.
There may be enough,
there'll never be enough for you,
but we'll persist unfailing
because I need some of it too.
The City. Madness pretends to wait until dusk.
The lie is lazily believed.
A mad night followed a mad day,
and both were almost the same,
but a fancy was believed
because sanity, mean as a viper, felt safer in the light.
The hordes persist
and I want some of it too.

Yesterday's Dreams.
Rolling thunderously into our night
yesterday's dreams wrap themselves tightly
around tired hearts,
casting their cords they latch on to tomorrow
and discharge unyieldingly
with dynamic insight
but do dream on.
Dreams refuse to take second place,
using any means they whisper their state
into our as yet faceless
but personal aura and insist on early booking
us for extensive renovation
by working with fate
yet do dream on.
Regarding itself, rather inanely
as indispensable, yesterday's dreaming stays
not in retreat but hatches
a carefully planned survival package which is
a clever technique to outdo despair
by vigourous regime
now do dream on.
Never to be disregarded, these
welcome fantasies give a much heartier taste
to a sub-mundane week,
for yesterday's dreams are but there to allay
dangerous future fears by bravely
bearing the heat of today
so do dream on
