I find the world doth pass me by
Shall I give it one last try

The young don’t share my point of view
They’re not upset by unverified news

You cannot talk to them, only text
        They’re so feeble they're undersexed

Why, when I was their age ---
Oy, there goes my darned ribcage…

Father Time sneaks up on the best of men
So to all ‘goodnight’ ~ ‘til I’m born again

Un

Unavailable for work,
Unbeatable prices,
Uncertain times.

Undetectable fraud,
Unenviable tasks,
Unfathomable crimes.

Ungrateful children,
Unhelpful comments,
Unintentional consequences.

Unjustified dismissal,
Unkind acts,
Unlimited credit.

Unmentionable briefs,
Unnecessary accompaniments.
Unopened mail.

Unpronounceable words,
Unquestionable loyalty,
Unreasonable requests.

Unseasonal weather,
Untroubled teenager's,
Unusual behavior.

Unverified reports,
Unwanted attention,
Un-x-rayed patient.

Unyielding bolt,
Un-zesty pizza,
For unproductive people, uninterested in undivided attention.

Emptied Moon
David J Walker

And the end will come
When it comes

As the never-ending
End begins

Empty minutes measured
Against
the past
of an unknown someone

Dizzy Empty
Unassured to the last

We both were drunk on dark
and contrasting light
To study
and discuss
	Emptiness

and the end will come at first flight

As another lie
unverified
occupied
another emptied life
too soon

Before we could learn to
Walk on water
Raise the dead
Or tread the moon

And what have we
Done today
She asked to soon

And anyway
I’m Blown away

By eversion to an empty
Conversation
Filled to the brim with
With the emptied moon

A Logical Analysis of Events So Far

Floaters crisscross blinking eyes.
After a brief scientific analysis
it is concluded that an invasion of minute
alien spacecraft has occurred.

An optician assures:
these aberrant phenomena are perfectly normal
for a non-perfect being.

Unverified estimates of an unknown illness;
projections of billions of invasive germs follow,
tank-like organisms working overtime
to smash through flesh and plasma
reigning shock-shells of dissolution
onto peace loving white knights.

It is to be hoped that microbial
barbaric and brawny hosts
of avenging bacteria will soon
assault these malignant besiegers
from the rear. Surprise attacks
from all sides

until the munching, mad
germs in their pointy Prussian war helmets are
subdued, but it’s touch and go
it can turn out either way.

The day is spent ignoring
simple explanations of ocular spots
knowing for certain only infected spacecraft
can possibly maneuver like that.

True Steps :: Novelinee Sequence

If one wants harmonious state of life
with neighbors, friends, others control your tongue.
Wise guides when, where to say to avoid strife
Never to speak to others just to stung.
Control talk when one doesn't have all the facts.
Not to utter words in heat of anger
or offend based on unverified acts.
or to joke about sin which may tamper,
or convey wrong feeling that would hamper.

Don't convey wrong feeling that would hamper
a friendship. Never say words with screaming,
listen other views. Rein ire to answer
to issues for avoiding mis-leading.
Restrain to tell an outright lie; don't speak
to spoil someone else's reputation.
Feel critical means self-control is weak.
Don't repeat words more than one occasion.
True steps for relation transformation.

Lie Ability

Pathological spit-steroid addict,
blame-shifting weightlifting fanatic
Decathlon cracked lip truth ...
Jumping over another
	high cloudy crystal
	methane alibi
aloof sprint hurdle
Twisted twin-lip discus throw
on a poppy milk turbo fan blow
Veracity record unverified:
	Marathon factual finishes
don’t have a Mary Jane
	Photoshop shred of proof

Possessing a prosthetic tongue
allows them half-truth pole vaulters
	to perform
those verbal gymnastic,
lying athletic feats of strength,
so hash mark daringly
Yielding honesty sweat labor sparingly

Such a Festivus mucous odor:
pandemic ground-zero celebration fête
Noxious nitro nostril gas,
on a downhill imposter incline oxy splat

	     Lie ability
don’t hinder a moral victory thief,
it’s a boon to the burglar, actually

Carousel tales ... up-and-down lung sales
giving hazy, rowboat circular details

Ever racing for the Pinocchio prize,
	wouldn’t knowz
	        losers,
with smelly rumor toes ...
Fan the foul exhaust fumes —
when their tale pipe empty,
bad-breath bellow sneakers
reach the end of the road

Ghost Orchid

what makes the heart feel for something it can't touch?
his tears caused contractions for his heart to pulse
floundered, looking for loves heartache to clutch
whimsical solace of her essence startles his impulse

shouldering the bane of a kiss that foreshadowed trifles
kooky huh? how time unleashes emotions restrained behind pride
losing his beloved inamorata to an admirer she mollycoddles
his heart became friable to the echo of her suicide

It was the absence of a note that left his worries unverified
what makes the heart feel for something it can't touch?
Now alone and without; a lovers heart is mummified
he will never love another as much

the “ghost orchid” has become her epithet
the rules of this game have changed, misère ouverte.

I chose Bonnie Raitt “I can't make you love me” because when I listened to it it brought
back memories of my childhood feeling second to my fathers work. His physical presence was
always their, but his heart belonged to his work and still is. After listening to the song 5 or 6
times I thought of the question, what makes the heart feel for something that it can't
touch----like love, and went from there.
