There is music in the silence, in the rest of unheard notes. That is where I hold my breath. Where the universe spins out its code for me to read. I watch as the unfallen sky reveals her mystery. Language unfolds in choreography, dancing between each blink of intention.

But I have questions
If time is not real, then what are we?
Poison and the cure, she screams at crashing volumes. No one sees.

I lay in the soporific sequel, turning over in the concavity of restlessness. Trials of the past collide with warm static forming variations of need. They are all tied to strings. She strums them with shades of night. The unfallen sky weeps. No one is listening.

Stress cannibalizes stones hungry for frailty but each is weighted in expectation. High caloric bites of the unknown. Bitter tones of perceived reality. The answer is in everything we devour. In the stillness of cognition yet all we do is eat.

The mother feeds
The mother weeps
Begging for her witness
As they all sleep soundly in her suffering

Premium MemberI Found a Poem

I found a poem
I took it home
It wasn’t mine
                         ……I knew.

But then again on reading it
I knew it wasn’t through
For something bade me
                      …..“hither…..write…”

I labored long
Into the night
Led somehow through a fog
At times my pencil trembling
                                   …..A cold unfallen log.

Faltering yet standing tall
I climbed above the pall
The echoes from another’s past
                              ………A distant siren call.

To free the pen
Unsheathe the sword
And free my last
                    …..Unwritten word.

The Unfallen One

Yesterday's splendour couldn't suffice,
It wasn't perpetual,
It couldn't be carried over,
The dawn of a new day
sets off a new order,
A new chronicle of events,
Atonement has to be made for the day,
The glorious cycle of blood sprinkling,
The ritual of the killing of animals,
Bulls, goat and sheep,
Spotless for cleansing,
A tiring, trivial round,
A replacement was sought for,
The high priests were in anticipation,
The prophets foretold of the Chosen One,
Who would bridge the gap
between mankind and the Divine,
Who would be an eternal sacrifice,
A propitiation for man's erring ways,
Death by any other couldn't
break the vicious cycle,
Death by any other name
couldn't bring life,
It couldn't change the tide,
There's no sure anchor besides Him.

Premium Member6 To 8 Sunlight In Your Eyes

The sun rose, rays travelled your sky unfallen
on your tears corroding your eyes for years.
The opacity blocked the beauty of the world,
your nights never saw the bright days break
until on an autumn dawn I rose in your horizon.
The new sun in your eyes glowed in VIBGYOR,
wiping tears I entered with gleam of nascent joy
in your heart lighted by the sun soaked in love.

Premium MemberManchester Suicide Bomber Gets More Attention Than Mahatma Gandhi

One week ago, a suicide bomber, a murderer took many lives at the Manchester Arena
The police are hunting down his accomplices to subpoena
It seems that the papers have nothing better to do than to show his face to us every day
Replaying each and every horrific moment to his families and relatives: including his unfallen, his prey
Go on let’s make him famous, some journalists seem to say
These are the images that imprint themselves in the minds of relatives and friends
What kind of a message does this ultimately send?
This story really sucks
News makes big bucks
Who is going undercover to catch these monsters that lurk?
Has the world gone completely berserk?
When it came to the crunch, they caught the evil leaders not so long ago
They knew where and how to overthrow
Those in power know how to catch these wicked murderers if they really want to
Instead, they sit back and hold up their hands up in horror as if to say how can this be true
The reality is who is selling weapons to the enemy
Their identities will surely put them in jeopardy
So until someone commands the word “GO”!
This remains to be one big psycho show!

Brewing Storm

The brewing storm stirs up
       chasing men on foot
        chasing chariots with wheels
        i sit and stare
        in compelling wonder
    does the wind chase?
why run for the brewing storm
                          i watched,
even the trees bow in acknowledgement
i watched as the sky carefully dressed itself in black
the strength to ask why is what i lack
i listened to its fierce whispers
the sky is about to cry, it says
         my body shivers
as its coldness swims down my spine
and all i could do was gulp in
       the scents of unfallen rain
      ...close my eyes
 and enjoy whatever blessings
 it has to shower...

Premium MemberGone Forever

Here I sit amongst the long grasses and the reed,
in a solitary place, where my breath is freed,
on an Indian Summer's evening on the lake bed,
autumn has come, yet the warmth has not fled.

Blazing orange skies, are mirrored to reflect,
I cannot imagine a scene being any more perfect,
as I looked up, an unfallen leaf caught my gaze,
spotlighted in the sun's last golden rays.

I noticed this crimson leaf as it began to wave,
the end of a short life that I could not save,
then swept away suddenly by the wind's rake,
and ripples formed as it landed on the still lake.

The leaf was carried away and my eyes followed,
then drowned by the water's surface and swallowed,
windy fingertips tugged it from the branch to sever,
existing once, like today, and then was gone forever.

Note - This was my original idea for the poem "The leaf",
but it was revised for a contest. I just wanted to post both
versions of the poem.

A View of Other Worlds

I was given wings to soar from the Holy City—
To visit worlds on high.
An angel escorted me,
To a world where joy doesn’t die.
The inhabitants knew no sin;
Their faces shone like the sun;
The grass of this place was living green,
And the birds warbled a sweet song.

Then I was taken to a world
Where seven moons could be seen.
Old Enoch was living there;
Long after his translation had been.
He moved about this place—
Completely at home.
It was so truly beautiful,
No further I wanted to roam.

To return to earth, I could not bear.
I wanted to remain in this place;
The faithful will one day come here;
Visit all the worlds in space.
Maybe I visited Jupiter,
Saturn and Uranus too,
But I had to return to earth—
Something, I didn’t want to do.

My heart was very heavy,
As I returned to earth.
For a vision of unfallen worlds
Had, to me, been given birth.
I do not know astronomy,
Just know I saw many moons.
O how I wish the return of such joy;
Leave this fallen world very soon!

The Choir of Poets

The Soul art in poems is the wordsmiths
With sun or lamp, in light or dark awake
The chore of a doom word master locksmith
Is to capture, enchain all lone heartache

Conjure through words and sounds, magic, a spell
Images of honour, beauty and love
Or hate on the hooks of Satan from hell
Tempting unfallen lone Angels above

To write of love should we not have grieved it?
And so our world forlorn is plagued with loss
But hark take heed do not loose heart or quit
Within ourselves faith will take us across

We must choose to see with our eyes open
Or to close them with risk of old Eden

Forever Bound

Crawling along in my loneliness,
Falling away from all of this.
Is this the way that life's become,
Is suffering a way of life for some?
Inside my soul it has grown cold,
I have nothing now which to hold.
Where's the hope now in the light,
I have given up this hopeless fight.
I've fallen in darkness over my head,
Within my torment I've made my bed.
I have nothing now but broken pride,
The scars of my pain seed deep inside.
I cry out with what strength is mine,
But now I know I've been left behind.
My silent yells that know-one hears,
Will be forgotten with unfallen tears.
When I'm buried deep in the ground,
Eternally in darkness, forever bound.
