A View of Other Worlds

I was given wings to soar from the Holy City— To visit worlds on high. An angel escorted me, To a world where joy doesn’t die. The inhabitants knew no sin; Their faces shone like the sun; The grass of this place was living green, And the birds warbled a sweet song. Then I was taken to a world Where seven moons could be seen. Old Enoch was living there; Long after his translation had been. He moved about this place— Completely at home. It was so truly beautiful, No further I wanted to roam. To return to earth, I could not bear. I wanted to remain in this place; The faithful will one day come here; Visit all the worlds in space. Maybe I visited Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus too, But I had to return to earth— Something, I didn’t want to do. My heart was very heavy, As I returned to earth. For a vision of unfallen worlds Had, to me, been given birth. I do not know astronomy, Just know I saw many moons. O how I wish the return of such joy; Leave this fallen world very soon!
