They don't frolic in a flurry of snow,
or muck about in fantasies, daydreaming.
Neither hand reaches for another,
their two souls of desire, brimming.
For they are not rivers,
but mountains, tall, standing.

Somewhere there's a Master Sergeant
who watched Iraqi oil being loaded
on a tanker While Bush denied
we went to war for decayed riches.
How's that for misguided love affairs
We stripped Iraq down to her bare essentials
Made her sign a pre-nup and dumped
her body in a trunk.
We sped away fast.
A honeymoon
undestined to last.
We say the past is the past
but I wonder why it lingers
like lingerie and Abu Ghraib photos.
The smell of garbage lying in alley gutters
sweat’s scent mixed with her
Frankincense
Sounds of gunfire, from a wedding
party maybe?
Her hijab slightly ripped
as she fought to retain her gift.
that oily residue left in my mouth
from absconded kisses
dearly departed bliss
Iraqi stains,
are all that remain

Write a poem for me
from the bottom of your heart,
look for the words still there waiting,
waiting for your nod
to bloom into flowers
like the roses of your garden,
give them a chance,
place them one by one carelessly
stitch a poem with those flowers to be.
Write a poem for me,
listen to the words
deeply embedded in your heart,
their desire to become a stream
and dance down a mountain's lap
to drench you,to drench me.
Write a poem for me
carelessly picking up those words
may be with some mistakes
I like as they are
I will touch them and watch
how they bloom into flowers,
and everyday among those words
my undestined walk
to reach to a stream
and wait under a mountain's lap
to get drenched.

Extreme sadness looking far away to nowhere
Purblind affair undestined to last last forever
Self-centeredness had been fading the glowing flare
Her spirit may seemed dead but the beats were still there
Into her eyes, teardrops fell in a silent stare
Gigantic sorrows made her cry a river
Irreversible love is going to somewhere
In state of his despise, she loved him than ever
She dream to be with him together forever
His road of calvary she is ready to bear
But his long waited shadow really never care
He left her in the middle of darkest nowhere
She thought she was dead yet she is a wallflower
Thinking, wondering her nostalgic love affair
