I am having one usual day, as it is, most of the days
I, a misfit, wandering around, since
the ultrasound and incubator, they are ever invasive
The world with the main theme, and the off topic, outlier
A peace, to find solace, within.
You are a tiara, a bracelet a pearl and a teardrop too
When I think about the unbridled, unbundled gone spirits, my lion cubs
They are busy in angling, somewhere, elsewhere.
They grew up too close to a Skokie Swift Childcare, they surely do.
They used to tap around the keyboards, busy and always chatterbox
They hardly open up about radiant ways, as they are always busy to pave the gaps.
On a rainy day, they will be sitting inside with their jersey whims for a newer day
And I will be, the ever undecisive, is it the sky blue or the deepest wave, a say or a may
I wish I could be sitting around you, just to see the pristine may
A butterfly stroke on a lonely morn, a red leaf, and a grasshopper day!

how beautiful the day
harmonizing tweets
bright and unbundled
the sun sips her coffee
smiling down…just you
wait…she says…i
have a treat today
Spring is on the way
she warms her child
rubbing gently her arms
kissing her forehead
her child holds out
her arms to the sides
and spins…the tears
of the sun gush
she dusts
off her child’s jacket
sunflower petals strewn
on the streets…
comely and calamitous
a trusting face uplifts…
the sun stares straight ahead
with potential energy and poise
she won’t disparage her child
telling her an unfair fairy tale
for
tomorrow’s not promised

With wealth and blessings overflowing
Non would project this time we behold
To prove to humanity the lesson of life
Nothing stays unless true effort is made
The fourth is falling before the eyes of all
Reversing the theory of consolidation
A growth grounded in falsehood is a lie
The truth only can truly sustain any
Achebe saw it all before departing flesh
The Country stopped being as we looked
Like the carcass unbundled by termites
The country extinguished self willfully
Where the rules were thrown to dogs
Living like existence is National joke
Minds drifting according to how directed
As some swore to balkanize the Nation
Consequences of action and inactions
Where impure purposes rule decisions
The essence of being becomes eroded
Until the fabrics break to show the rot
It is gone like all can see
The pot has burst clearly
The feared has finally come
All are in confusion for next
The end has come
No prophets needed
The past has caught up
We are all part and in it
Death and birth sustain creation
A new Nigeria is a desired option
Where truth will lay the foundation
After cleansing that goes with ending

You were in my lap. Child, you were resting.
Little pretty face, with your glowing eyes.
You have beautiful eyelashes, deep, dark eyes
A thousand times I kissed there, in your sleep.
You were hugging me , You were smiling at me.
And your fingers were playing with my hair, unbundled.
You were helping me to get back to you, to life.
As life touches another in joy , humility and courage.
Never did I understand, this could also be a test of life.
I see your face, I see your smile, and my tears run in agony.
I would not let you to struggle in suffering, the trials of life
May God have mercy on me, may God ease the pain in strife.

FATAL TRUTH
It was the innocence in your eyes
That poured out a dawning glow
You smiled and a thousand worries
Unbundled the heart
Your flow was raspy but gentle
Melting through every breaker
But your sudden thunder
Brings a wholesome wonder
Thus to every darkened" sun
There arises a lone voice
Stirring the heavens
To spread its lights
Only on one
