Premium MemberNight Tears

Skies sparkled with snow diamonds drifting through
the magic that surrounded the effervescent darkness.
The tulle breath of the forest spirited the moonglow
in a spritely capricious demeanor and addressed me as
	… it spoke …
of the curious sounds seeping from the lavender mist.

Moon and stars joined to illustrate a tale of strength
behind the human laws of moral theory and bid me
	… harken ...
for in their story was buried the essence
of the earthborn plight to live, to love, to hope,
and to ascend the sangria stones of immortality.

As the moon opened and began to spill,
	… I listened …
offended by the grape and Tyrian wafts
of desire, hatred, indulgence, and greed.
My silvery tears rolled violet down my cheeks
illuminating the raisin-hued darkness.

Sadness washed over me with sparkly specks
of magenta moon dust manifesting through lacy clouds.
As dawn crept in, it brandished the cold, corrupted,
hateful thoughts and spread its orchid enchantment.
Beauteous shades of periwinkle enshrouded the sky
	… and sang …

Premium MemberAn Impossible Answer Goonies Tribute Trimeric

Heavy gambage haul to save Astoria,
the aureolin Sun hides behind clouds;
Filled a map with wishing well wishes
to try and find an impossible answer;

The aureolin Sun hides behind clouds;
Viridian waters spontaneously sparkle,
a smile underneath waves of somber;

Filled a map with wishing well wishes,
the puerile solution reveals itself:
Score that tyrian and eburnean treasure!

To try and find an impossible answer,
One Eyed Willy tatoo gleams in xanadu;
It's their time, ' Goonies never say die.'

Premium MemberExotica-Soul

Song Of Songs 6:5a: Turn your eyes from me; they overwhelm me.

EXOTICA-SOUL

Like a violent storm in a glass jar,
your eyes dazzle —
in wonderment my cheeks swell
morphing into the color of a pink sunset
and my lashes cover my eyes.
I sigh and my heart beats against
the shores of my jugular, wrists,
behind my diamondiferous ears.

Yet your eyes pierce through the curtain
of my shrouded irises,
and deeper still
studying me,
drawing out the Tyrian purple passion
that you desire to include
in your exotica-soul.

What rapture will we unleash together —
I’m excited but afraid,
yet your strong and gentle palm
embraces the curve of mine
with confidence. . .

I steal a look into my future groom;
I’m doomed to love him —
crimson, like dawn, warms my insides. . .
unabashed, unafraid.

About the Isle of Tyre

Wouldst thou for me an air
upon thy tortoise lyre
play, and sing those words so fair
about the Isle of Tyre?

Within whose walls so grand,
there at bazaar would be
hangings made by weaver's hand,
and colored from the sea.

And ships of cedar made,
all crewed by seamen bold,
sailed to shores afar, to trade
for silk and spice and gold.

Consoled by sweet refrain,
I dwell in dreams of Tyre--
going home will e'er remain
my unfulfilled desire.

The ancient Phoenician city-state of Tyre, an island off the southern coast of Lebanon, was famous for its production of the prized Tyrian purple dye derived from the murex snails found in its waters. --WW

Premium MemberMy Tyrian Galley

"My Tyrian galley waits for thee" - Oscar Wilde

*************************************

"My Tyrian galley waits for thee",
and breakfast is getting cold.
The maid was here to cook the eggs
but now she has gone home.

"My Tyrian galley waits for thee",
but I cannot wait much longer.
The crickets sing upon the hearth,
and I am getting older.

So come down, Miriam -
have your eggs and have them with me quickly...
I haven't long to trim the sail,
and the crickets are all twitchy.

When you've had your eggs and toast,
we will telephone the maid then.
The crickets will be nice for tea,
and she'll know how to cook them.

Premium MemberA Rainbow Sings

A Rainbow Sings

Prismatic rainbow graces sky many ways
 with brilliant hues of multicolored rays
 picturesque goniochromism sings to decorate
 a ketch with Tyrian purple sails out late

Sepia hue tinges this kaleidoscopic scene
 monolexemic shades threaten to richly preen
 majestic phenomena seen in sky embraces
 mists, vanishing clouds and aurorae traces

A Rayleigh Scattering sets rainbow apart
 miracle that sends opalescence to impart
 this sky mingling multitude of colors now
 as red, orange, purple and yellow take bow

Interwoven within this prismatic awe inspiring view
The hopes and dreams of gentle poets like me and you!
