Bottle Cap In the Sand
Bottle cap in the sand.
forsaken barren beach.
Towel colors once grand
diminished by sun’s bleach.
Tropical paradise
long left barren by man.
Hurricane a surprise,
deserted without plan.
Collapsed plastic beach balls
strewn among the seaweeds.
Once bright the eye recalls,
but now the sight recedes.
Hibiscus trees deflexed,
entwined with pale, pinched palms.
Verdant life springs forth vexed.
The damaged, begging alms.
Flora and fauna rise;
slow repristination.
Beach in rousing

Clouds, Towels and Bedspreads
Many see figures up in the clouds
I see them in towels and bedspreads
My family groans and says, 'Dunderhead'
~ Jealous of the fun I have in bed

It's My Lads
The smallest room in the house,
Phew what a smell,
It smells so bad,
It's my lads,
Replace toilet roll,
End of the day it's used,
Do they eat it?????
It's my lads,
Hairs fill the plughole,
But are they from the head !!!! Or!!! Yuk,
Shampoo bottle empty again,
It's my lads,
Wet towels on the floor,
There are 4.... only two lads,
Have I got any dry

Folding the Towels--A Trilogy In Haiku
I
My wife folds the towels.
She is the correct folder
as opposed to me.
II
I have learned many
ways of folding towels poorly
over porous years.

If Only You Knew How Upset I Get
If only you knew how upset I get,
going into bathrooms with just air machines.
I have not figured out how to wipe up water off the counter,
with just air machines.
I have not figured out how to dry my eyes,
with just air machines.
I have not figured out how to wipe a baby's butt,
with just air machines.
I have

My Hooded Towels Hobby
My Hooded Towels Hobby
There are so many things I love to do...
write poetry, create with art and more,
like sewing...awesome hobby while I make
fine hooded towels for my daughter's store.
A quaint established shop at the east end;
her hand-poured soaps of

Management and Housekeeping
Monday, 5-1
Housekeeping: I checked in early today for a long, business-related stay. Now, I wish to relay that I brought two blue, hypoallergenic towels of my own, from my home. They are doctor prescribed for my skin disorder. Please remove the two sets of your towels from my room. I folded

Dream Soaked Towels
When I think of you
Standing there
Out in the rain
When I think of you
Standing there
I remember
Standing there
Out in the rain
When I think of you
Standing there
I remember
I've been down to the corner
Where the right lane ends
And the left lane only brings you
Back again
Faces push
The air around
Dream soaked towels
Cover the ground
When I think of you
Standing there
Out in

Picked Up Towels
(The poetry form is a toss-up, between Narrative and Free Verse)
Picked-up Towels
He had left his wife
filed for divorce
starting over
with nothing
We gave him
a pan here
a blanket there
He did his part
by picking up towels
left lying beside the road
One time too many
he stopped
It wasn't a towel
only a used Pamper

Why Must We Wash Towels If We Only Use Them When We'Re Clean
WISE EYES
We all turn and read another page
Through the very eyes of age
Such wisdom behind brown, green or blue
We all read that same page, even me and you
The very eyes of age stare at a face
As we forget each kiss but recall every warming embrace
That face isn’t the one that once hid wanderlust
And now the
