~ Sabbath in the Olden Times ~
(Shabbos in der Alter Tzeiten) The title in the Yiddish language

    Mama lit the candles
      Totty blessed the wine Father
Tova's white headband Female (here, a girl) first name
      her hair and face a-shine

Duvid sang a zemer Boy's nickname; Sabbath song
Totty and the orech pitched in Guest
The kneidlach oh-so-delicious Matzo balls (in the soup)
      On Shabbos eating's no sin

We benched grace in style After-meal blessings
      tender melodies lingered a while...
Time to wish a teyere 'Gut Shabbos' A precious 'Good Sabbath'
up to bed for a sweet night's rest

Premium MemberKnotty Totty Rottsy Day

Crone arrived masked as crescent moon.
We knew her by her star cape and her attitude.
I was wearing a warring pirate ship as a skirt.
The day was ripe for all kinds of shenanigans.

A trumpeter arrived to announce the next eclipse.
It’s one of those knottsy-tottsy-rottsy days.
I put on my star gazing hat, and tried to look average.
Difficult for someone as creative as me.

The Sky's a Shark

The sky is stark, the air is cool and still
The black cat’s run, the birds unfold all day
I sit down here and with my totty pray
Ye cast o’ foolish thoughts, you raped my will
. We’ve each enraged the bureaucratic mill.
Oh frigid purse, I never meant to pay!
The sky ‘s a-spark, the air is warm and shrill
The saturnine demoted knelled their way
With this feathered pounce, my sample quill,
I cite the cheque and date it for next May.
Oh, tit for cat, the tiger’s bed ‘s astray.
Yer life is settled by a harlot’s will
The sky ‘s a shark, the air is sharper still

Dense With No Common Sense

Dense With No Common Sense

Boy her buttocks were really a beauty
Half crazy and called her Totty Fruity
Which half it was never would knew
Until War of Crimea had been through.

War was fairly fought for criminy's sake
And we understood it was total mistake
Instead of President he was running
Was at Trump Tower pool there sunning.

As up all of his food he was chewing
Eyes gluing on pretty women now viewing
Who with was always mentally abusive
On him we decided to do an exclusive.

Where would we stop and what should be excluded
By him, bunch of rednecks had been deluded
Neither his head nor he was ever on the level
Said he was made to do things by the devil.

He chewed and chewed off things bit by bit
After becoming dastardly devil's advocate
Preferred people who are disturbing and dense
Never knowing how to use any common sense.
