One was politically, a dedicated liberal.
The other was a staunch conservative.
They both were Christians and patriotic
countrymen, rendering to Caesar his portion,
and offering to God their devotion.
As the two relatives debated,
some hurtful words were stated.
The dialogue became offensive
and too personal when one said to
the other, "You have been brainwashed".
Parts of one's heart were broken when by
the other, those four words were spoken.
With control of his emotions,
he voiced his heated objection.
With purity of heart, one said that he was sorry.
With a sensitive heart, there was acceptance of his apology.
For a while, their conversational roadway ebbed and flowed.
But for now, their freeway of interaction is closed.

Imagine there's nought to do today
In the gentlest, 'let it be' kinda way.
No clock's insistent hands to allay,
No hurried 'to do' demands to obey,
When the peace of stillness has sway,
When 'what does it matter' to delay
Makes worries gently fade away,
Into the background noise, to play
At another time, in another place, to flay.
Look at the lake, so calm, tranquil, grey.
All at peace in the dawn before the break of day
Having a quiet 'time out' to defray
The chaos, clatter, bustle looming on the driveway
Waiting to sour the scent of the sweetest bouquet,
To spoil the moment taken, to smell the roses, in the doorway
Of the 'sweetness of nothing' place, where too busy's at bay.

As the snowdrops, tulips, and daffodils sprout,
snow melts all about.
The air lost its nip,
so, icicles drip.
Snowflakes, seldom seen,
white morphs into green.
And to welcome spring,
a Robin takes wing.
As the snowdrops, tulips, and daffodils sprout
there is little doubt,
winter’s in timeout.

We are forced to stay
where thoughts echo;
like children on "Timeout"!
We huddle in our cozy corners,
though no corner's cozy
when imposed -
left to lament our distancing
and to "Think about"
what we've done and
cherish those taken for granted
freedoms
like a hug we didn't take or give
when last allowed to...

what do we need?
i believe in stress relief
clothes off,
underneath
can't help but tangle feet
re-arrange and dangle
feet on shoulder
thighs make a right angle.
you want
Go.
speed?
Faster.
breath
me
sweat
you
Faster.
give up control
i can take controll
unpredictible?
Go.
like that
Go.
grab sheets
don't fall!
my bedframe
versus wall
you agree
and say
Yes
agree to nothing
say
Yes!
stretching
tensing
on the floor
exactly
what we came here for.
