What Would Someone

what would someone
ever think if I
never was to
join their crowd

My thirteen words poem.

Jim Horn

Voices

"do i deserve to be happy
or do i deserve to be dead?"
the thirteen words
that echo in my head
every night
while i lay in bed

and not even the sound
which is made by the rain
when it hits the concrete
can distract me from these voices
which i cannot seem to defeat

"do it"
they say
"they won't miss you at all"
i fall and i fall
i scratch and i bawl

and their voices have got me
like a dog on a leash
they relentlessly faught me
and they i cannot beat

Unlucky Thirteen

comes from
Jesus and disciples
friends and foe
gathered together
for last supper

Author notes

Just a passing thought in thirteen words, seemed appropriate.
