Premium MemberLooking for Home

we need adult pants
to confront our dreams demise
before time waves bye ~
moving to a sunny state
might turn our sadness around

no more lush yard land
useful outbuildings scattered
old farmhouse we love
maybe sad byes to willows ~
then hi to palms and beaches

we felt this was home
an old house where we belonged
not our shared fate though
so to sun state we will drive ~
with frowns to wear in some months

Premium MemberLife's Bed of Roses

soft bed of roses
evokes dreams of happiness...
yet beware of thorns:
opinions, overthinking
can often lead to sadness

Her disappointment
Has outlasted her a lifetime
She now hates all men
Because of one awful man
Stereotyping sadness
men

Moon of Sadness

Moon of Sadness
Nude in front of you
Slapped by bats but kissed by light
Enigmatic scars
No one understands but YOU...
I dream of dreams of moon life...

I pose - you draw me
You take pictures of my soul
Wondering what's wrong...
Sadness... immortality
How much Love I cannot give!

how gloweth thine eye
in this sadness of sunlight…
where trees cease shaking
woodland rests with bated breath
wryly squirrels search for home

Winter

Winter is frigid
A bone chilling cold that hurts
Parts of your body
It affects your mood as well
Causing sadness to creep in

Premium MemberHaunted Ii

Don’t look into me
and uncover my sadness
if you won’t soothe me;
Let the darkness lie inside
haunting, like the ghost of you.

Premium MemberPurpose In Nature

autumn's golden hues
sadness in the falling leaves
resurrection day
anticipation of spring
a purpose in nature's plans

Perhaps happiness
Is found in what you resist.
First, release sadness.
Remember to take more risks.
Change comes with many choices.

Premium MemberThe Telephone Sleeps

death deepens with months
the passing sands by swath-sweep
the telephone sleeps
except for sibling-mourners
moaning for vocals from mom

dad shovels himself
out of his quiet mattress
aching with absence
half-alive, not dead
the one left behind

dirgelike rings of cell
mom won’t answer, but dad will
stir the stomach biles,
tighten the chest, dry the throat.
sadness listing old man’s boat

Premium MemberMelancholy Days

As the blue jay chirped,
         my sadness seemed to fade away;
                But she lost her voice.
             Melancholy days returned;
              Like a never-ending flood.

Premium MemberA Somber Portrait

Portrait of deep pain-
showed sadness in every hue
that told a moving,
story that seized my vision.
as time sauntered by slowly.

Premium MemberIrish Tears

They tried but left in tears,
Now,far from Ireland's sadness.
A train of covered wagons
upon vast plains of promise.
Cork, but a dream in a tear.

Premium MemberSadness

Sadness

Emotional pain—
A soulful melancholy
A sense of deep hurt . . .
	Avoid when it’s possible . . .
An epiphany for change!

A deep soul sadness
Confused diverse emotions
Love tattered and torn
