The Struggle Within

Keeping out the wind,
drowning out the roar,
running from this Avalanche,
knocking at my door.

The chains are getting tighter,
my blood will not last,
Shackled to my enemy,
my heart..it pulses fast.

Dripping, dropping, without stopping,
this body, can't take much more..
The few that I do let in,
use me, then throw me to the floor..

The beats are getting slower now.
The pain, is starting to subside..
Darkness, closing in on me,
my Demon, pulls me to the Great Divide.

The Struggle Within

As I walk my own path to god,
I hear many voices telling me what's right or wrong,
All these outside sources screaming trying to bend me towards their will,
What's right and what's wrong?
As I seek the answers of wisdom and spiritual growth,
I longingly gaze into the never ending sky,
I ask why do these things seem to be one to many and why,
Which voice guides me to the path of truth,
Which voice leads me astray away from you?
As I pray into the darkened night sky asking for reasons I wish I knew why,
My heart flutters in anticipation,
What comes and what goes?
Love is something my heart desires,
Will god bring me to the heightened hour?
Which religion paves my way?
Or should I let me heart run astray?

If there is even a chance for something more than this world then let my heart embrace it and protect it with everything inside of me.

Will love guide the way?

Will heaven be far away?

Believe in me to find you if you exist.

The Inner Struggle Within

A tender heart with words displayed

A soft word of praise for one to say
A sudden glance at sweet fancy & wine
Created from the elegance out of his grand design
A voice so very soft & tenderly;

To crush the fatal blow in disbelief

From shadows proned in some tearful disgust
The inner struggle within
Within its torn silence there lies its most beckoning call
A rose was once plucked with a word of promise by which to care

A true love desire without the slightest word of care

The inner struggle within

A plot of land amidst a heart that was troubled
Never relent even if all Hell breaks loose & your torn to that of rubble

Now which pathway in life will you be willing to choose?

The Struggle Within

The Struggle Within
A lonely heart sits and waits
Seconds tick and time abates
Each day passes in s blink
All i do is sit and think
Of all the things i could have done
Away from life i tried to run
Knowing there is sunshine around the bend
Waiting for my soul to mend
Never giving up the hope
Fighting against the slippery slope
My footing stumbles
The mountain crumbles
Trying to knock me down
Each step i take toward the top
Something my path does block
Struggling to push on
Knowing that my heart is strong
I see the light up ahead
Less struggle to get out of bed
Faith around the corner lies
A new tomorrow, brighter skies
The goal i seek is now insight
Push the sadness from my mind
Dropping now the ties that bind
My heart is lighter
Inside my soul sparks a fire
Leaving behind the words of a liar
My life is my own
I’ve fought long and hard
Finally time for my journey to start

Struggle Within

The balance of life
What is sin and salvation;
The struggle within.
