Steamroll Poems

Recurrent Sneezing Fit By Ma Chew Too

This thick mucous essentially
the defense mechanism of a healthy
body electric to restore biz zee nose
as usual, which for this mild mannered
liberal leitmotif from the chronicle of one
matted nattering nabob of nativity attests
congested mob functioning like
a well lubricated machine, yet
for the life of me, nary a handy dandy
blues clues evident as per, how
the human entity empowered
to steamroll over
any reasonably annoying bugaboo.

Ah, now if only a similar innate
defense mechanism arose
within the mental health,
that would be a supreme testament
to thine atheistic tasty mints of miracles
minus the attendant pharmacopeia
of this, that or some other drug to aright
skewered psyche (of this contemplative,
emotive and intuitive literate outlier),
whose sixty two plus eight shades
of gray matter went awry and skewed
toward tipping point (to cope with ordinary
cares and concerns of an uncertain
whirled wide web) found the bulk
of his life riddled with a joe king,
gun slinging tub back ha chew win,
bard **** wordsmith,
who doth newt like to utter any
cryptographic crossword.

In dizzying rounds rain goes up and down;
see the heat of the day steamroll the lawn.
Mist ascends; then back again, dew rebounds;
to bathe the leaves, kiss the breeze, rain fawns.
A lawn moss green down by the stream at dawn

is frosted with a sprite haze of frail fog.
Born of goosebump nights are damp morns,
where water falls translucent in the bog.
With a sizzling sound the rain dropped adorns
the lilies in the bog on rheumy morns.

On mountains high the rain falls white disguised
as snow; sun turns snow to ice, down it goes.
In dizzy rounds rain pounds, the sun complies
and all this a high power has composed.
Water disguised is a gift that God's composed.

Get the Hell Out of the Way

Get the Hell out of the Way

Get the hell out of the way
you little, foolish girl;
you keep beating my head with the baseball bat
that carries all those bad memories.
Stop it and get the hell away from me,
leave me in peace.
Go with the setting of the sun
and bother some other part of me,
leave my good will and passion for love
alone,
leave me alone,
and get the hell out of my way.
It is hard to forget,
when you're always popping up
in front of me.
Leave me alone,
go bother some other fool,
who will let you into his life with no problem,
go any where you please,
just leave me alone and stop bothering me.
Popping into my dreamland,
my own little place of rest and peace,
you even disturb that;
I need some sleep for Christ sakes!
And you keep torching me,
leave me and let me be.
Get the hell out of my way
before I steamroll you down
and leave you left for dead,
I'm warning you;
you better listen.

To a Scrap Book

Library ~ daytime, empty, shelves are stacked
book for every reason, season, nothing lacks
waiting for the internet, it's Oh so-o-o fast
and my mind might diminish, with the facts!

Speed one ~ and even reading, can't sit back
I'm focused on the treason, of life's act,
so many foolish faces, filled exact
the mind, a precious reason, just reacts!

Is thought this busy please zone, not contract
some daydream, left, a glee dome, to look back
and not create that interest, struggles sack
to try and fail, the fall owned ~ by contact!

It's information's wedge cone, mindful swap
does sift with memories stilled hone, toting hack
can't cheat ~ there's more to glean through, cover's flap,
my selfhood on this steamroll, just distracts!

Guess I'll go home, and sweep through
staid errand's bric-a-brac
something is lost to mean's view, creation's scrap
The slower versions, schemes few, the writer's craft ~

Are eyes, and ears, the seen to . . . . my own thought's wrap!
