Bringing branches with their trunks, they start their festival with glee
Swinging silent bells at the pearl sailing in the night sky
Flinging away darkness and dirt, for light to finally see
Singing pearls in the branches, pray to the divine up high
Praying to the ship of fourteen gates filled with splendorous light
Begging the pearl-gathering angels to help them ascend
Entreating the Maiden of Light to continue the long fight
Worshipping Jesus the Splendour, the lord and gleeful friend
Inspired by Pliny the Elder's account of elephants worshipinng the moon with branches, while incorporating Manichaean beliefs about the moon.

Cobalt hued sky
shines on dawn’s face,
embroidered by cloud on hills.
Sparkling stream ripples silver sheen,
mirrors on cascading flow
cobalt hued sky.
Sunburst horizon glows,
opalescent tapestry of emerald meadow
shines on dawn’s face.
I see mesmerized
beautiful nature’s splendorous scene,
embroidered by cloud on hills.

Sand silent; mud mum; tree-roots petrified,
Thick layers of snow dumped like crystal flood dried;
Split, the snow rocks melt and moodily flow,
Sunless, silently, stumbles and flows slow...
Slow flow; then there's another sudden death,
Habitats mock at its struggling for breath;
Plants and trees stand like spirits of the dead,
Moving as though phantoms, all around spread...
Heavens break-into tears as though in pain,
Thunderous, they fall like torrential rain;
As this, like rare guests, arrives once a year,
I cherish it, midst frost-chill atmosphere...

SPLENDOROUS SUNSET
One of nature’s natural wondrous works
is the stunning sunset, a stellar sight when the
setting sun dips down the horizon.
Striking spectacle of captivating clouds,
altering awesome scattered shapes
and spectacular sky bursting brightly,
beaming brilliantly while changing colors.

Oh, splendorous tree, limbs reaching high
with grandness framed by endless sky-
your epic branches sway in rhythmic dance
while rustling leaves whir with breeze-
concerting their own song.
Of nature's boundless beauties, you, grand tree,
display epitome of form and grace-
from mighty trunk that twists and bends, carefree,
to mingled branches, intertwined like lace.
splendid is the tree
standing tall neath boundless sky-
signing God's glory

~Splendorous Spring ~
( Haiku Trio )
Springs renewal time
Flowers blossom in the sun
Cardinals return
Bees buzz all around
And they make honey so sweet
Butterflies just dance
Trees show their new dress
Roses bloom bright bold and sweet
The moon and stars glow.

A period so loved, there’s none better
No better desire than this incredible time
A time of day that leads into night
Nighttime that blends with the last light
Light that preaches of tremendous feeling
A Feeling like none of the daytime hours
Daytime hours leaves only glimmers of its splendor
It’s a splendorous dusk, an hour of triumphant grace
Gracefulness completes its glamor of décor
Only a décor that came to be stated at night
Night plays off the light, differentiates it
A differentiation relives each period, but better
