Splendorous Scenes

Sand silent; mud mum; tree-roots petrified, Thick layers of snow dumped like crystal flood dried; Split, the snow rocks melt and moodily flow, Sunless, silently, stumbles and flows slow... Slow flow; then there's another sudden death, Habitats mock at its struggling for breath; Plants and trees stand like spirits of the dead, Moving as though phantoms, all around spread... Heavens break-into tears as though in pain, Thunderous, they fall like torrential rain; As this, like rare guests, arrives once a year, I cherish it, midst frost-chill atmosphere... 24 January 2022

I love all of the S sounds in this poem. I am diving in for a second read, wondering if this was purposeful or just a brilliant poetic mind?

In frosty winter,if a sudden cloud burst comes .... will it increase the cold or lessen it ? Not sure ! From your description, I feel it is a splendorous experience.... ! Very poetic detailing ! Really enjoyed your poem Chris.
