lanterns twinkle bright
soft laughter snugs the hushed air~
fireflies rule the night

 emerald green

             sparkles the serene forest scene~

 

Lavender Licorice and Lemonade Lakes

You taste as if twilight were—
lavender swirling like smoke from the earth
licorice lingering with the full moon’s soft pull
a sweetness both dark and divine.

Your skin sparkles with starlight
electric and soft as moth wings.
We sip the pink sky
lemonade lakes cascade through our fingers
time unspools between our hands
while the past drinks from our open palms.

The air crackles

Feeling The Loss Of Sparkles

Sparkles was put down
In February
in the afternoon
On Monday the third
A sad day for me

Close to the table 
Where Sparkles was on
her green eyes staring
As I spoke to her
She was restless

In a strong voice
I spoke to Sparkles
Trying to calm her 
In her carrier she walked
looking to escape

The vet calmed her down
With the first needle
Then she insert

A Gray Light Sparkles

Branches thatch a spackled sky.
Snow lays itself down
to sleep lightly.

An airborne coyote-itch addles
drops of sunlight
until they drizzle.

Splatters of graying-green
on the hairy chops of groundhogs
as they scrape up a scant buffet.

One Scarlet Cardinal bobs,
its ruby flounced headdress
scattering scads of frost.

Winter shucks its hoary hide,
stepping through a muddy mirage
of Spring.

Fanged winds pounce.
Puddles of rain return to ice.

autumn sparkles with shiny colors
her leaves twinkling and winking in the breeze
the forest is full of golds and reds today
walnuts are piling under my tall leafless tree

there should be a coolness, it is autumn, right?
but it is ninety-two degrees, odd for Kansas
this is nearly mid October, too warm for fall
I sit outside and smell charcoal

A Similar Moonlight Sparkles

Naked bodies tucked against one another,
feeling burning passion, enjoying intimacy
that's holy to God; we hear
warm and steady heartbeats,
and smelling the lilacs' scent so strongly,
we taste honey-dipped lips
that have been faithful in ages!

A similar moonlight sparkles...
despite the changing sceneries
of the alternative seasons,
of the perfection in things;
I seek the dazzling beauty in brilliancy
that makes all darkness quickly

Cold water sparkles and shines
Heavenly shimmering signs
When bright sunrays kiss the stream
The loveliest of designs
~
Her blue eyes sparkle and gleam
When she rises from her dream
They blaze with intense desire
Love's passion has made her beam
~
The embers sparkle with fire
And glitter as I admire
The flickering flash of light
Little hot flames that inspire
~
The dark sky sparkles at night

Moon Dust Sparkles Stay In the Sea

the moon gently dipped herself into an azure ocean
like an Oreo cookie dunks herself into milk.
moon dust sparkles skipped across the top
determined to stay in the sea

a-affectionate

r-runs away when scared

k-kisses

l-loveable

e-entertains


s-sometimes shy

Road Sparkles

Driving on the way home
Road varnished from heavy rain and
sparkling as gemstones
from where the streetlights flicker.

A New Sunshine

This day takes off, refreshingly
Drifting in umber humility 
Mewling riotously, in cheer 
While, reap colors squint near
Shockingly in shades of pink clear
Evening advances in bliss upon 
From that point on 
The night moon 
Sparkles in splendid, yellow radiate 
As dusk settles over sky precipitate
The metaphorical night fell upon us 
She was loaded up with adoration

A Flash is just an enormic sparkle bursts exploding in front of our eyes~

Spring Sparkles

The soft new leaves of Spring do sing,
There's life around, freshness and zing,
Fair flowers and blushing buds do bring
Sparkles to life and great rejoicing.

Autumn Sparkles

This cycle drifts like a glossed leaf
Bathed in mauve- red  across the lane;
October ‘s cloak swathes ‘round my wish
Unfurling    before winter ‘s grief –

Explosions  of  bold colors tease
Their  every movement, every chime
Whorl along…from hillocks to ponds
Blazing sparks on timber  of trees.
