Premium MemberOf Knights and Spandex

The knights that in histories lurk,
They never wore spandex to work.
O’er heroes today
That dress in this way,
The dragons, they snort and they smirk.

November's treasure

++ November's treasure ++
Mississippi Queen look she's no movie-star
She's always just been the Led Zeppelin swan song
As thin a beam shone bright from a lovers plight
My Moon-beam hits 28 in morrow
She'll say goodbye to that club
Gods in blue jeans spandex was never as cultured
vingt sept
It all doesn't matter if you don't read
Frankenstein's letter
Wait until the worms are all gone
Should be by around quarter to One
Frosted eyes a night light flickers
Saying the moons too bright
The dogs all think we know
Except for the hounds that led you straight down to Hell
Twenty seven
Mortal sleeping city yell
Mirrored images trapped inside a fractured lens
Opening the door for some story to tell
Reaction distraction competitive inimical contraption
Into the minutes where black holes collide
Sent with a message to other alien life.
Treasures explored a life of love implored
Why does it always led to women
And why do I want so bad

Spandex thighs
Spiralized my eyes
Hyper flex her wonders
Set my helix spinning

Genetic refrain
DNA slain phonetic
Double down Maxwell magnetic
Electric blues make life too hectic

Two alarm scribe
Workout overtime perfection
Repetition fired sugar glider
Run your ladder up beside her

Premium MemberA Twist To Robin Hood and His Men Wear Green Spandex

The ground was blanketed with fallen leaves
that crunched under their feet as they ducked
into the bushes and secluded spots behind thick trees
The forest was their domain the comforts of life
as fugitives in hiding they could survive,
it beat capture and torture.

Emerging on the path came eight horses
with their riders trotting into view
Robin Hood and the others emerged from hiding
knowing they will not be eager to surrender

As the sun starts melting into the horizon bringing in the twilight
Robin Hood and his men knew they were in danger

Why did he feel like he was totally kidding himself?

Jumbling and stumbling they start to dwarf
Their voices had evolved from bass and baritones to tenors
Avoiding getting caught they all backed away and scattered
Bidding the riders farewell, then departing

Premium MemberHis Spandex Shorts

Hammond Clark, drifting in bare feet, clad only in
his spandex boxer shorts, took in the wreck of his kitchen.
"This tastes like nuclear waste", he thought as he nibbled on
tid-bits left over from his sister Rosie's "after the gig" party.
As lead singer for the Dire Straights she had footed
the bill for her friends and family. He knew he'd taken too
much"medicine",the pain behind his eyes was intense.
They looked like lunar craters and his mouth tasted like
Listerine soaked tissue.
Worried, he wondered why she had left the party with
that vacuum salesman. Granted, he had a nice car, but
he looked like he just stepped off a UFO..
What I need is a good night's sleep he groaned.
Plagued by insomnia he had counted every wormhole in
his ceiling a million times. How on earth was he going to
wine and dine those new clients from the convention
..and sell them on his line of spandex shorts.
Slumping in his chair, his vision blurred.. and he...........

To be continued.
