Bitten Bosom

The closest arm strikes;
It injures with desolation
Instead of solacing:
Broken consolation.

The treasured lip bites;
It tears to desecration
Instead of kissing:
Shattered affection.

The chosen heart burns;
It sears to extermination
Instead of embracing:
Loveless affectation.

Premium MemberHow Wonderful

“It’s solacing to me to see God’s wonders in each season as they come and go.” – by author

How wonderful are nature’s ebb and flow -
Blossoms in spring; in autumn, leaves’ bright glow;
summer’s cooling rains; winter’s virgin snow,
and God’s promise in blue skies – the rainbow!

The exigent mountain
in the tough terrain
of upheaved life,
          crumbling,
needs to be climbed
as the solemn summit
alluringly calls.
I follow
the undefined trail
in surging storm
of stifling strife,
          relentless.

I cross with piety
the divine portals
God installs
in the precincts
of eclipsed destiny,
          dormant.
In His decree,
designed with certainty
I repose resolute trust,
faith shows me the path
to the content summit
of solacing rapture
in the dark nights
of scary squalls,
          delusive.

The turbulent sea
of chaotic life
in tempestuous disarray,
I need to sail
          serene,
find with forbearance
the last anchorage,
get guided
by His benign beacon
with dedication just,
          steadfast.

The tormenting alley
of endless anguish,
          submerged
in opaque darkness
          desolate,
needs to be lit,
the shreds
of shattered soul
salvaged from the abyss,
are to be sutured
with threads
of divine essence
esoteric,
embroidering ecstasy
at the frail fringe
of agonized actuality,
shaping the survival instinct,
indomitable.

Fallen

Of the body of God
You are a member
Your true essence you knew
But as you sought to recreate yourself anew
You lost your own face
And your path you could no longer trace

You thought you were a tent
At the mercy of this life
And so the winds of strife
Made you lose your strength

With joy you strode along
Solacing where you do not belong
You called fear your friend
Death your foe and ego your lord
Your light lost its amber
Your truth you could not comprehend

But though fallen you are a star
Searching for your lost lane
Be a member once again
Re-member who you really are

You suffered silently for the humanity,
carried bleeding the burden of the cross,
defied the undying death to resurrect
to save us from sin, give fortitude to the despondent.

The resurrection brought You back to us
to reside in the revered sanctum of immortality,
marking the joyous and devoted end
to the Lenten season of penitence.

In the unkind and unforgiving world,
You instill the feeling of fondness in our heart,
and go out to embrace the desolate souls
with the solacing blessings of empathy.

You guide us with the divine beacon,
across the turbulent sea to the placid shore.
Devout abode of serenity and hope in our soul,
You make for us to rest in peace in anguished times.

From our tormented hearts
flow out the humble words of dedication.
We bear with hope the encumbrance of agonized life
with the strength we get as Your blessings.

You hold us in Your holy protective arms
when the time comes for us to depart.
In mortal darkness you show us the heavenly light
in our journey of faith to the eternity.

O, Lord,
Your benevolence and love we celebrate in Easter.

Heavenly Interred

Thoughts etched in obsidian,
A wharf rock verdant-
Wisps of color,
Like a jade curved smith.
To hew out crevices of the wast'd rock,
Wind washed and sand clothed-
Pulsating taking solitude,
With angels milling about,
deceptive in their demeanor,
Like newborn locusts,
Death is taken captive.
The captain calls out a-ship, a-shore?
Golden waves play harps in the summer,
And dance a deathly knell in mid-winters reverie,
Yet in all the colored hue,
A heart finds no solacing bosom.

Upon Evening and Exotic Shores

Upon evening and exotic shores,
I feel the mist of your hair,
Your hips,
Of the sweetest crescents,
Dance like a ballerina,

With an irises love,
And its blush of lavendars,
Serenading vases and gardens,

Your accents of honey,
Born of the enchanted waves,
Caresses the soul,
With loving midnights,
And tender noons,

The evening sways,
With lovely,
and solacing bouquets,
Its mango sighs,
Strewn along the petalled vistas

Lament of An Unbiased Breeze From a War Field

Cutest prattles of children I adore
Are now the loudest cries I bear
Oh, No! The grieves of these abandoned souls
The worst sounds I have ever heard

Mesmerizing songs of endemic birds I carried
have become a threatening alarm now
Migratory birds missed the way to their hometown
Endemic ones sense no way at all to escape

Minerals accumulated river
is now of blood spilling over
Obnoxious odour it is,
I couldn't carry further...

Daily prayers and chants I hear
have turned into laments with fear
Thrumming thunder drums I bring
turned out to be the horrible skirmishes

Two military factions strictly crafting their plans
Echoing the sounds of huge bombs and gunfires
Reigned over their people by creating boundaries
Unfortunately, this unbiased breeze is same for all

Amidst this tormenting situation, I still try to thrive
to be a solacing breath to the struggling souls out there
If not, I would have become a windstorm
and ruined the entire place certainly

Dance

Dance,
Lovely ballerina lady,
With a plenitude of lillies,
Dressing your hair,

Dance,
With a splendor of dresses,
Caressing your hips,

Dance,
With the salsa rhythms,
Of your sensuous,
And enchanting soul,

Dance,
It will be for yours,
mine,
and,
the moons delight,
Dance,
As the days,
Caresses the nights,

Dance with your lillies,
breasts, and deep hair,
Loving the wind,
Your dresses shimmering,
With shore waves,
Dance,
with Your rhythms,
Blooming,
Its,
Salsa roses,

Dance,
And relax,
into a vibrant stillness,
And your love,
Ethereal,
along with the present,
Of a moon crescent,
Will caress and kiss you,
With our ever bouquets,
Of solacing irises

Upper Room

From the internal of the internal,
to the throne of the Eternal,
the bitter turns sweeter
scening eternity to the sigher,
soothing and solacing the sinner ,
and O! silencing the sneaky serpent.
Like an eagle it causes the drooping sobbing spirit
to rise over salty storms.

Pining

Ever missed that warming love,
That from honest heart comes?
It’s more assuring than all hopes,
Far sweeter than honey’s combs.

It’s such solacing truth amidst lies,
Heart-strengthening feel like none;
That renews sick worn-out sinew,
And resuscitates the injured man.

By rarest graces such love’s found,
Not by one’s painstaking searches,
It's not buyable with buck or pound;
It’s wholly divinely given from above.

Pining is the result when such love
Isn’t found among those around us,
Sobs ensue if such warmth’s lacked;
Losing love so true is bitterest curse!

Premium MemberNever Say Never

Even if the surging storm of sorrow
shears your fragile heart into slivers,
dispassionate you may devoutly vow
to never cry in tolerant life ever.

Time may melt the mist in mind,
flows silently in torrents of tear,
impelled by solacing touch kind
of empathy of someone dear.

You may stow the pangs that hurt
in the serene soul that never wavers,
bear the load of grief of your heart,
persuade yourself to never say never.

Premium MemberOn Summer

To the spring I, ever, humbly prayed:
Do not, so fast, make your march forward
One, coming after you, is cruel;
He'd dry the flowers you had freshened
He'd destroy the beauty you'd fashioned
Orchids will have soon a burial.

Quick, the hiding summer heard my words
Sent his forerunner, wind, with tough whirls
Sand and mud and wastes together flew;
Dried leaves and flowers got simply blown
The strongest of branches got broken
Heat and sweat and humidity grew.

Birds of all kinds got themselves hidden
Many of their nests, in winds, broken
The young ones struggling to fly away;
Remembering the days soon got passed
Games they played in the spring got full-stopped
For season's change keenly did they pray.

'Thirsty!', the parched cracked dry earth, aloud, sighed
'Thirsty!' all sun-burned creatures' union cried
Forests and hills and vales too did mourn;
Praying with bend head and folded hands
The whole of earth and heavenly bands
Seemed seeking the solacing monsoon.

Premium MemberBeautiful Sadness

"Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought"
 - P.B. Shelley

In the backdrop of the painting of my life of despair
the evanescing patina of the drowning sunset I see,
in the lost day’s sinking grace of melancholy I immerse
as joy of twilight time the last gleam of sky enshrines.

When the silver spangles of shrouded moon disappears
sprouting stars shine the brightest in the darkest of nights.
Tear drops sparkle on my eyelash like drying dew at dawn,
the rustle of dry leaves whispers the music of the sad fall.

The wind of grief blows the shards of my broken heart,
find a solacing niche in recess of your embracing thicket,
its emerald canopy flooded by ecstasy of sunburst sky,
my dismal eyes see beauty of sadness in sunbeam dance.

SALAD DAYS

Remembrances of my salad days can’t enrapture me.
Compound fractures in heart when compelled to brawl,
though healed in the long run have left deep scars.
I walked all alone strolling in whirling storm
to mourn or to exult, yet strong soul was sworn.

Seeds of courage and zeal were sown in my conscience
solacing my sad salad days struggling forlorn.
Little sprinkles of love also spread pretty polka dots of joy.
Confident tune resonated in rhapsody of life
walking all alone, sometimes resting in sojourn.
