Premium MemberCustodian of Tradition

My son Jacob, he follows traditions
  Religious, he has certain ambitions

He prays to God three times a day
I think he even knows what to say

Straight as an arrow, and square as a box
Jacob took a liking to bagels and lox

Sister snitched: Jacob prays right before he eats
~ that I don't slip a slice of pork in his daily treat

In Jail For the Holidays

I was so angry that I wanted to give my wife a slap.
She went to the mall and a baby was kidnapped.
She kidnapped the baby because we couldn't have one of our own.
I didn't know she'd do it, I would've tried to stop her if I had known.
I had no choice but to call the police and turn her in.
She was arrested and she's in jail because of her sin.
I didn't know what she was capable of when we got hitched.
I didn't want to be an accessory to kidnapping so I snitched.
Christmas is nearly here and she'll be in jail for the holidays.
She committed a horrible crime and now she will have to pay.
It was very painful to turn my own wife in, I didn't want to do it.
But she shouldn't have kidnapped that baby, she really blew it.
The rightful parents got their baby back and their Christmas won't be ruined after all.
But they hate my wife because she kidnapped their baby when she went to the mall.
She will rot in prison for twenty years for committing a crime that was so bad.
I can't afford the bail money, she will be in jail for the holidays and that is sad.

The Great Orphan Escape of 1922

The great orphan escape of 1922
Todd, Eravine, Sally, Willie and Lou
Escaped from the horror of Miss Pedelson's zoo
Away from the moldy bread they flew
(And they would have taken with them you)
In the great orphan escape of 1922

The cooks were cooking
While the cops were looking
The bookies were booking
But they kept overlooking
The escapee orphans o' 22

Those five kids found a chest
And in that chest was a vest
A vest made of gold
In the uncold wold
Where hid the orphans of 1922

They came back rich
But they never snitched
Never spoke, never told
Of their hidden, high wold
That the orphans uncovered
Ere, they discovered'
From the great orphan escape of 1922

Mom caught my sister at the sink pouring out her soup.
I'd done it first. My poor sister only copied me.
She never snitched on me, yet she got Mom's punishment.
I got to see the movie she did not get to see!

I don't recall if I ever told my sister sorry.
So here's my apology; dear Melanie, you know
I love you bunches, and next time that I see you, Sis,
I'll pay for both the popcorn and your ticket to a show!

Premium MemberTriangular Point

She wore a Cheshire grin,
slowly munching the bite
she'd snitched from his plate.

"You took my point," he said.
"Everyone knows,
the point is the best part."

We sat around the table,
savoring pie, sipping coffee.
He wore an indignant look,

his fork pronged above her pie,
too late, her own point
already in her mouth.

A new concept to me,
but I have to admit,
the first bite of anything
                   always tastes best.

The Great Aussie Picnic

The Mozzies are biting, we forgot the Aeroguard
The ants, all the bickies are about to bombard
The twins are fightin’ and actin’ real mean
This family picnic, it’s a real bloody scene
The baby’s cryin’ ‘cause he bashed both ‘is knees
The flies in the marg, and the dogs got the cheese
Grans gone walkabout lookin’ for the lav
Cripes, there’s a Kookaburra, poopin’ on the pav!
Young Curly’s so famished, he’s eatin’ mud pies
And bluey’s being chased by some peckin’ magpies
Dav’s bashin’ his missus and actin’ like a lout
She forgot the plonk and the beers run out
Old gramps at the barbie burnin’ the snags
Dad’s really cussin’ ‘cause Mum’s snitched his fags
Now the tuckers ready as the rain in buckets pours
Streuth! Another get together in the great outdoors!
