Slow Witted Poems | Examples

Premium Member wise old elf is self taught

That old elf is unschooled, but he taught himself
Has more knowledge than books on a librarian’s shelf
We call him the amazing wizened elf, for he is you see.
Much brighter than my siblings, actually, my whole family.

He can do better surgery than most doctors can do
A self-taught veterinarian, he saved a sheep’s life too
Old elf is in no way slow-witted, illiterate or dim.
For sage advice, the rest of the fey always turn to him.

Premium Member did you ever see him smile

he was not slow-witted
he was no-witted

no sense of humor
a story or joke annoyed him

he called make believe things a lie
did you ever see him smile?

not when I was around
which was not often

Premium Member Lets Throw Snowball At the Owl

Two slow-witted goblins were tricksters who had no fear
They tiptoed up the staircase of a birch tree that was near.

They forgot that owls can gobble you down in a minute.
Their plotting was horribly stupid, no matter how you spin it.

Let’s throw a snowball at that one, the dumbest one said.
Let’s! Agreed the other, I think his name was Dolt Ed.

The owl was not happy when the snowball hit the back of his head.
And sure enough, within minutes both goblins were dead.

Something truths, them there unfunny lies
Intrusive, non-sincere apologize;
Condescending rhythm broken unfunny feelings:

Piper foolish prankster a cut-throat
Joker kidding around and not with goats
So pointless
Idiotic and senseless
Child like acting humanity
Slow-witted weak minded preposterous nonsensical
Something truths

What's the use
Intrusive;
Condescending:

True Empathy

What would the world be like
If those on top of living
learn to look down and see the life of others ,
who's struggles and throes to survive for existing,
And learn to stand in one good stead
 to share their winnings-
 in life to them was given.

How greatful all affluent
will help the poverty-striken;
In any ways they  know,
as long as its from the heart that sharing.
And so it seems to me,
their would be less down-and-out that yearning.

When a crackerjack bear a hand to those amatuer,
who is much scrabble ;
And through  such effort ,
all things will be apprehend with flying colors;

That even in education
when a slow-witted student befriend with  sharp-witted  one;
Then would teach an amigo the lessons taken
 to pass an exam.

What if a beauty queen is with an uppealing girl,
That instead of envy for physique to feel,
love the uniqueness,
for beauty comes from within.

These are just few,
of much to tell situations
of helping, of sharing, of feeling the true empathy,
That these who give hand-holding
are heaven's  sent;
To make the world such a wonderful of living.

Frustration

I am desperate, and demoralised, I don't know what to do,
What will be my very next step; I have not the faintest clue.
From street to street in search of work, tirelessly I have walked,
Because of innate diffidence, success has repeatedly baulked.

Born less gifted, slow witted, and presumably terribly mediocre,
Competing with the more endowed, was never within my power.
My self-esteem was cruelly sapped, with contemptuous rejection,
Achievement has eluded me because of my negative aspiration!

From street to street wearily I trudge, in search of any work.
My stars are down, my destiny doomed-- tragic is life's quirk!
What recourse to take, I fail to guess, to earn an honest pie,
If survival is so difficult for me, the only option left- is to die!

A Dismal Diagnosis

Irrational views of all virulent kinds
Are among the slow-witted expected,
But often they mark more intelligent minds,
Making these the more gravely infected.
