Wilbur wasn't always so sure
His horse knew how to be good
He gave him the best directions
And plenty of love and affection
But, Mr. Ed could be quite the comic
Never listening to Wilbur's instructions
Instead, finding amusement in the ones
Who felt like watching his funny sitcom
It was actually Allan Lane
Who gave Mr. Ed his voice
He told of this and that
And every imaginable choice
Mr. Ed was not who we were told
His real name was Bamboo Harvester
A delightful name for a famous equine
Who will forever reign in my heart
As the horse who brought so much
Grace to the part of the famous Mr. Ed
Wherever I go in this world
There will always be assurance
That the famous Mr. Ed was one
Who brightened lives with his pranks
He was a funny, good humored horse
With so much love in his heart
I could never imagine another horse
More capable of filling the room
With uproarious laughter and joy
Mr. Ed was a wonderful old boy!

Hours of fun, excitement by this anomaly
being a member of the Addams family
I’m Bewitched and I dreamed of Jeannie,
our humble abode on Gilligan's Island,
also lived our friends The Munsters,
the Beverly Hillbillies and The Brady Bunch,
around the corner lived Denis the menace,
so at times we had to Get Smart then there
were That Girl she was courting Batman or
was it Robin, my love was my horse Mr Ed,
lived with The Monkees on Petticote Junction,
I met my favourite Martian in The Twilight Zone,
he told me that he got Lost in Space, now he’s
become a Fugitive great friend of The flying Nun,
my memories of entering the Time Tunnel on the
way to my Voyage to the bottom of the sea,
I’ve been Branded by the Invaders, The Prisoner,
if it wasn’t for Mr Terrific and Captain Nice the
Mob Squad from The Land of the Giants would
be the Avengers of F Troop from Star Trek.

"I'll not hold onto scraps of paper
love notes folded origami
brain confetti from last year
I'll not hold on, (for long) my dear
I'll not hide secret dried up flowers
slips of some things 'till tomorrow
never sipping sweet fruition
for it seems, my intuition
proved me wrong again.
I'll not remember your cologne
or spray it on when you're not home
and while I'm at it I'll forget
just why I loved you then...
and yet...
I kind of wonder what you're thinking,
if you need me, if you're sinking,
Maybe if I called this moment
it would save you from some torment?
Maybe if I saw you daily
sang our song on mix tapes, maybe...
you would then remember love notes
you would think on all you then wrote
How you loved me 'till tomorrow,
How we shared our joys and sorrow
So, perhaps, it's all worth saving
even when you're misbehaving
Maybe we should just get married!
Get a house, a bouncing baby
Mortgage life, dear - call me crazy...
as long as you just call me."
Well...um... did I get the part?
