I’m over the “I do nothing wrong” people
I’m over the “when I hurt you sit there and take it but don’t you dare do it to me”
Life is precious but some people just suck the life out of me
I gave the wrong ones a chance to be around me
So many of y’all coming into my life was everything but God’s doing
I was so patient with some that just took my loyalty as weakness
I gave you my all and in return you flaunted other women in my face
Then when I did it back you looked at me with disgrace
You got mad because I called out your shady ways
You blocked me because I wouldn’t be your little slave
I didn’t know being in love meant taking everything and being a doormat
I’m tired of the one sidedness
The “take my crap and smile through it”
I can’t stand you for hurting me when I was genuine with you
All I wanted was love and you want someone to control
I’m over it
I’m drained and so done with this
I want to be away from you
I know I can do better than you

More on Statues
There is an apparent urge
To erase the markings of history
Which appear to stain
Visions of what should be..
History is a story appearing
In our reading in this moment..
Often justifying doings as right
Which can then be retold on
This Fourth of July..
But..alas.. clinging assumptions
Of division remain..
Statues are stories written
In sidedness and division..
What if the urge to erase
As we are observing in
Widespread places..is really
(Whether recognized or not)
A turn Inward..collectively
To bypass the assumptions and
Recognize our inner Vastness
In which all history
Is written..and read...?

So much depends on waiting,
the cock crow,
dissipating long nights,
before rain starts,
desecrating one-sidedness,
and,
getting it right,
working like-mindedness,
engrafting a woman in a man
So much depends on paintings,
healing minds,
moving on,
collating a self-informing vocabulary,
defining emblems,
and,
winning wars through words,
pondering a new beginning,
changing the face of a loved one

Agate skies filled with cloud-swirls;
twisting, turning rivers of music dance above.
Below angry magma bubbles up a sea of madness.
Its chaotic belching disrupts all life.
Earth is full of dragons, all colors, shapes and sizes.
Slaying dragons is a waste when no one realizes
what they've done.
Perhaps we need those dragons more than we know.
Opposites are everywhere; yin and yang provide a balance.
Black and white, left and right,
love and hate, war and peace but,
blind humans see only one side.
One-sidedness is the great destroyer today.
A well-oiled Earth runs on diversity.
Cloud-swirls and angry belching magma are different cogs
working together.
Dragons are as necessary as everything else
and we must learn to teach instead of destroying them; to…
tame our dragons.
Earth needs color and sound to survive balanced chaos and harmonics ensure a smoothly running planet in a universe of well-oiled, celestial machines.
