Jimmy
(Dedicated to James stewart who died July 2, 1997.)

You starred in It's a wonderful life and in Firecreek.
You were an awesome actor who was unique.
You starred in a great western that was made in 1950.
The movie I'm talking about is Winchester '73.
People were saddened in 1997 when you died.

Revenge With a Winchester
The police came to her house to arrest her.
She killed a man with her Winchester.
He did something that really pissed her.
He was a wreckless driver who killed her sister.
But after shooting him, she felt no jubilation.
She took a life and now she feels devastation.
Now she wishes that she had thought twice.
She got revenge but now she's paying the price.

Emigrant
EMIGRANT

The wake stretched from the bow
Back towards the narrow, choked
Canal systems of Europe.
Goodbye to endless locks now.

We were ready for the new start.

Over the damp taffrail - foam.
The sea was huge and empty.
And ahead lay the United States
And home.

Winchester
Wandering…waiting, I find myself back to you
In search forever, never meaning to be blue
Never wanting to want you, but wanting anyway
Chastising myself and despairing everyday
How can you be so wonderful to me?
Even the thought of seeing you again makes me want to flee
Surrendering into your beautiful eyes I love
Telling myself to never give up
Ever longing, I will still wait to see you again
Rendering my love to you…far to distant England...

Along
Along the back near the corner of my mind
There's a keyhole that I can't quite find.
What's hiding behind this lock and key?
I'm hoping it might be a past life memory.
Was it when I fought the Kraken to save us?
Or was it when I roamed the sea as an Octopus?
What if its just a knob afixed in my mind for fashion
Just a doorway like you see at the Winchester Mansion.
Along the back near the corner of my mind
There's a doorway that I've yet want to find.
