Images

Lamb left a litter,
Behind blobbing bumps.
Water went wetter,
Next to a naughty nest,
Where waves have wondered,
How heaves haunt...

00:00 - For the Rain

The bitter spatter of the rain
Revives a road that's getting wetter.
A pitter patter sings of pain:
Makes drowning ink run from a letter.

Fallwell Farewell

They thought their pool guy was cool

Premium Member What Am I

I get wetter and wetter
the more I dry
Nothing could be better
So don't even try

I come in many colors
And I am used by both teachers and scholars
On me you can always rely

Clicking on all cylinders, must be the weather Though wetter than usual, this summer's been better For outdoor festivities It curtails activities Not as steamy, where do I send my thank you letter?

Rain

with every raindrop comes a kiss of love
 sprinkling down on us
we hold hands
dash from house to car laughing
your cheeks are wet
your kiss wetter
we kiss in the car
steaming up the windows
laughing
a man your age!

Premium Member Infamous

The body interred here:
    A famous bed wetter.
More could be said,
    But less might be better.

Procrastination

Remember how you spent
                    half An hour
           calculating It would be wetter
              walking Not cycling
double underlined It
                      theN
                           Got the bus home

Skyscraper

high rise
get high rays
and wetter
on wet days
closer
to aeroplanes
in lanes like cars
soldiers of concrete
steel feet in wars
in pillars
like Lot’s wife
or muggers
with sharp knife
hanging in blocks
or flocks
stabbing the sky

P.S.

All of these poems
beneath my skin
haul the weight
of every shed tear
and I'm getting wetter
with each neoteric sob,
but darling I found myself
a pretty way to scream
and it's much more fetching
than being peevish
from so many starless dreams

Premium Member Soggy Bread

Don't you just hate soggy bread

It falls apart in your hand

I should just use toast instead

I think you all understand

It stands up to mayo better

The crunch it makes sounds so nice

Until of course it gets wetter

Then you might need another slice

Smile

When the troubles and worries,
Continue to pass you by.
Just look up and remember,
To keep your head high.
Live for today,
Not for tomorrow.
For god as your savor,
Will soon release your lonely sorrow.
Even if the down poor,
Continues to get wetter.
I promise everything,
Will eventually get better.

In the Rain

Balancing your pocketbook,
Umbrella and a bag
While the wet relentless rain
Accosts you is a drag.

Whipping wind is adding fuel
To metaphoric fire.
Wish that where you’re going
There would be a waiting dryer.

Nothing you can do when days
Are windy, wild and wet
Except to know that once you’re soaked,
No wetter can you get!

Premium Member Blizzard Is Coming

Blizzard is coming
Hailstorm is drumming
How we longed to be wetter.
We’ve been in a drought
We prayed the calm out
Now comes turbulent weather.

Batten the hatches
Prepare the caches
White rage threatens our safety.
Will eating snow bursts
Appease our mad thirst?
Freezing adds to the crazy.

Premium Member Stormy Day

Stormy days can be scary
if you have lived through a bad storm
you should be wary
but that is not the norm

Thunder, lightening, lots of rain
the flowers, grass, and trees
have lots to gain
as they soak in ease

A stormy Sunday is even better
Because you can rest
without getting wetter
Stormy, restful days are the best

Premium Member The Farmer

The end of the end good friend indeed The weeds to seed the leaves aflutter Capital greed “Can’t save my seed” Under his breath the farmer mutters Close of the year brings heartache and fear The wetter the spring the harder the going Whistle a tune for a sad harvest moon Fallow the fields, it soon will be snowing

Better In a Letter

It is better,
In a letter,
To your mind unfetter:
Your claims of being a pace-setter,
And a neglected go-getter.

Better in a letter,
Your tears make wetter,
A former switch with a latter,
The slimmer present as the fatter;

Better in a letter,
To disclose that one is a waiter,
And to another his hater:
Better in a letter.

Premium Member Night's Caresses

Your radiant smile
Like the sun
Melts me
Into a puddle of desire

Heating my heart
Making my blood
Boil
With passion

Two bodies together
Heat upon heat
Sweet sweat
Of lovers

Unbridled sensations
Mouths wet
Sweet honeypot
Wetter still

Time stops
Only the two
Exist for the passions
Until the morning sun

I Love This

I love this time
before the world comes alive.
The sun hasn't yet
fully risen.

It's light outside
but so blissfully quiet.
I can hear birds
as they begin their chirpin.

Reading my bible is
my first priority.
The day always seems
so much better.

Before I start breakfast
I look out to see
The sky's surprise
leaves birds much wetter!

Fancy That

Cold steady April rain
Housebound huddled captive
Grey and somber is the day
And like myself inactive
So I sit composing verse
Forcing words, imposing, terse
To conjure feelings so inscribed
Pointing to a better way
Or even more a wetter May
One more excuse to get away
To cruise amused in sunlight
Through wet pane I peer and see
I can’t be happy
Fancy free
