Ask the Sheep
We know knitters knit wool from skeins,
and when wet, us the wearer complains,
for our pullovers shrink,
and so this made me think,
why don't sheep ever shrink when it rains?...

Premium Member black diamonds arrived on asteroids
black diamonds are different than white ones
They did not form inside the earth
They arrived here on asteroids

They are from outer space

Premium Member Christmas High Heel
She entered the room with high heels that clicked
Click Clack Click Click Slide Slide, they were rather slick!
We were all intimidated by their height by the way.
But I felt sorry for the wearer;
Who soon became a swearer...

Age should be worn like a cloak-
A cloak of wisdom,

We wear the pacifist’s mask
that makes others feel O.K.
friendly polite poetry
“hello, goodbye” so cordially,
spiced with handshake, kiss or hug
circumstance, pretentious love.
Then suddenly strip it all away.
The real mask wearer doesn't stay.

Wearer of Lace
Does a wearer of lace
Run a wild breathless race
And still radiate True Grace
Or of prudence show trace?
And does he keep up face
linked with Dignified Pace?
Senator off with mace
And it triggers no case
Or him not cost his place?

Never shall rash action
Sparking off reaction
And pour interaction
Favor any faction....

Uneasy Lies the Head
A wearer of the crown
Is trained to frown
His monarchical gown.
Not for democratized town
People of renown
Sometimes go down
In assassinating ponds drown
The Dirtiest, coffee brown

Uneasy has to be the head
That is with power fed
Owner’s eyes, even in bed,
Ever watchful and red.

Uneasy lies the head,
To the others their head....

Let the Sea Stay Calm
J-ust let Friday fog fade,
E-arly eleventh February;
S-aturday sky seems bright,
S-un brings glorious glee.

P-ouring rain is over,
O-ne beacon begins to shine;
R-ising above the horizon
T-o make you feel fine.
U-nderneath the blue lane,
G-uess shirt wearer is awesome;
A-llow the wind to blow softly,

Premium Member Restraint
Used to keep certain things to ourselves
   Restraint
We kept the dirty laundry on the shelf

Knew when to button our lip
   Restraint
We didn't let dark secrets slip

Rightfully condemned the tale-bearer
   Restraint
Pitied the heart-on-his-sleeve wearer

With 'restraint' now a curiosity of the past
   However long can friendships last?...

The Skier
The skier glides
A judge decides
A lower score
His body is sore

The athlete falls
But doesn't bawl
The skater spins
A card gamer wins

The skiers costly error
Disappointment is the wearer
Moving on to the next event
Down the slopes The skier went
The triumph of winning
The athlete's mind is spinning
The joy achieved
The goal believed...

Premium Member Mask-
wearer of the mask
so covered to hide yourself
peek-a-boo disguise

covers up my face
to amuse or terrify
hides my eyes and face

as an art form so
covers of my entire head
fits over nose/mouth

mask covers me so
to protect me from disease
some mask watch me breathe

Lilac Perfume
In bloom time when the roses blush,
When Spring flies by with its wet green rush,
When the sap is high and the moss is plush,
The scent of lilac faintly glides
Over the wind the butterfly rides.

The lilac reaches up the hill
To catch my wandering senses . Still,
To draw me down and back until
I remember and I cry
As if the wearer just walked by....

Precious 2
I thought about this word
Whispered in my ear
It sounds too good to be true
In all honesty
I Remember the Lord of the Rings
It was desired for the power
used by the wearer of that
Oh so precious ring
To bring fortunes
Oh so selfishly
I've been burned by such a ring
with such a powerful desire
In my life
I better think twice
Before dancing in its fire...

Premium Member my love for diamonds
black diamonds did not form on our planet
They are from outer space
Reputed to deflect negativity from the wearer

diamonds have a shine that rivals the stars
they look fantastic in jewelry – rings and necklaces
I remember receiving my first one in nineteen sixty-four

I have lost them, found them, and revitalized them
They always delight me
each with her own personality
as diverse as a snowflake
no two alike...

A Correction Like Victimization
Voices pitied her exposed bust.
In it few could see what was just.
Disgracing A Symbol of Lust?
Daughter of Adam: Plain Bare Dust!
Wearer of jewels which shall rust!
But does it warrant baring bust?
A wise correction is A Must,
Yet not through channels that disgust
Of wisdom wearing not a crust…

Wishes she were blown away by Gust,
Forever she’d cease to Man Trust:
Partakers in her correction
Had all experienced erection!...

Vested
How I love to wear a vest!
It really piques my interest.
For though it's kind of like a sweater,
Somehow, stylish-wise, it's better.

Whether made of down or tweed,
For warmth, it's what all wardrobes need.
With buttons, snaps or halves that zip,
It helps its wearer look quite hip.

So my advice, to spruce your flair
And make your outfit debonair,
Just top your shirt when you get dressed
With, as you might have guessed, a vest!...

The day is sunny and warm
The kind of day when life seems easy
Everything is uniform

A smile touches her lips
It appears genuine
However, inside is a true eclipse

Outside appears radiant and bright
Mirroring the day’s beauty
While inside the darkness holds tight

Hiding the true sadness of the soul
The loneliness and confusion are still
Keeping this life from being whole

The beauty hides the storm
Protecting the wearer
From an emotional swarm...

To the Non-Helmeted Cyclist
Your helmet on holiday
While on a highway
Will make Accident Demons busier
And a lot to the Devil easier,
Either party to fracture your skull
For man’s most feared call.

Blame-worthy of you confronting a bike’s gear
Without donning its defensive head gear,
Suicidal, your cycling round the urban
While choosing to not turban!

Helmet dangling on a bike’s handle
Makes same its unlawful wearer:
Some silly, unlawful death nearer…
A barefaced lighting of the Wrong Candle!...

An Attack From Behind and Reaction
My head turned like the hands of a clock
But making not at all its tick tock…
I rather was white with singular shock
At collecting from behind a knock
That could have neatly jolted a block
And even embarrassed more solid rock
Perhaps, cold-shivered a wearer of frock;
Or the more reddened the crest of a cock…

A blazing threat to put my attacker in the dock
And thence to a cell with good lock…
Or a fight give him that watchers flock
To both parties heartily cheer or mock....

What Is In a Color?
What's in a color?
I do not understand.
The color of our skin, changes as we get plder,
SO what is in a color,
Pearly white turns to a warm brown,
with no thought to its wearer,
so what is in a color,
a bouquet of one color is boring, but one two, three, or even more
is center of all attention
so who would want everyone to be all one color
how droll
I would personally be bored out of my mind
I would rather have the eyecatching beauty of the many
then the bordom of the one...
