The King Was Brave Enough
The king was brave enough to battle the giant X
In a hurry and flurry he lost his golden specs
So the brave king could not see

i sit upon a majestic horse
a skittish cowgirl
i am for a day

dog keeps watch
drives me into bear country
i hold tight the reins

until my knuckles are white
then red then I laugh
at how silly i feel

for high atop Lightning
i release myself
to almighty God

loosen the reins
He has my back
and my saddle’s lighter

and Lightning snickers
at the cowgirl wannabee
but relaxes just the same
