Premium Member on shores of despair

on shores of despair
I wallow in the shallow
     of my lowest tides
           yet I rise - oceanic -
when my spirit floods with joy

Premium Member why wallow in the shallow

joining the dots, mind game inane,
tracking pitter patter of rain,
the pull of divine magnetism,
cascading in body-mind prism,
God’s benediction healing pain

Let us not wallow in a quixotic stupor;
Becoming their silly food-stamped serfs:-
Maudlin beings drained of all our vigor—
Doomed to old slave quarters berths.

Spot Very Tight

Caught yourself in a spot very tight?
No way out, no one else in sight
Wallow in self-pity
Or think and be witty
Doesn’t matter the route, be mighty and fight

people are falling from the sky
smog in the air and they can't fly
wearing tattered mismatch rags
they wallow in plastic bags,
waste, and rubbish remains piled high

Listen to poem:
i can’t pretend to understand
the silences between us
how they wallow in the throes of chaos
desires censored muted silenced
molten in the midnight moonlight

Girly Stones

These pink glassy stones
Don't have any uses
If I run out of reasons
I'll make up excuses
They wallow in bowls
for pure decoration
and hated by every
man in the nation.

We wallow in the shallows –
In muck that clings contingent,
and as it sucks us into its depths,
we slosh mud onto each other

How have we sunk so?
Come with me to shore.
We did so aeons before,
and we can do again.

You Are What You Eat

You are what you eat.
Pig meat is for those who like
to wallow in it,

whatever "it" is .....
Beef eaters are fat, angry
methane producers.

You are what you eat:
fruits, grains and vegetables make
happy, healthy folks.

having opted to wallow in the shallow we feel fully, live fully, the sunken vibration this too is a pulse and each pulse has a pause the void of cessation is where we choose to dwell 27-November-2022

a divine sight once beheld
was by memory recalled
by our ego thus seeking
the influx of grace was stalled

why wallow in the shallows
when the ocean calls to soul
be still oh worthy hermit
that God’s touch may make us whole

Shadow

My shadow has departed
A dim luminescence has not the power to prevail
So casts my follower to the depths
To wallow in ineffable sorrow
Where heartache mutates to anguish, to scourge, to death
And lucidity has no foothold
And light, no admirer

Friend

Friend

I tried going solo
My voice was hollow.
Then tried to tango
I enjoyed the banjo.

If you come to me,
To play for free
And not for a fee,
We’d wallow in glee!

A friend in need
Is a friend indeed!

Life

If life kicks you when you're down,
don't lie down and die,
pull yourself up off the ground
and punch life in the eye.

Don't wallow in self pity
and think that life's futile.
Always strive to do your best
and make your life worthwhile.

Love-Loss

An inexplicable feeling,
Naked to the human heart

A cold to catch,
	Or a butterfly

Take hold of the rains,
Or wallow in their wake

Lay in slumber of your solemn sleep,
And take time to weep

For the soul you’ve called home,
Has gone away and flown

My Transgressions

I gave destiny a different version
As I wallow in self pity
With stains on my dignity

I err out my transgressions
Submissively
As trickles of tears
Caress my skin filled with regrets

I have failed in my mission
And I seek redemption,
So speak to me of heaven’s grace.

when darkness plays havoc on the inside the desire for change needs to be my flame that ignites and burn negativity displaying light where darkness tried to reign I refuse to bow down and wallow in thought induced darkness without fighting back

Dear Lions,
Please keep standing strong in our world with so much wrong.
Keep your senses alert to fair and foul, especially when out there
on the prowl, for not every foe is going to growl..
Get out there with you're confident stride, don't wallow in hurts
and petty pride, a genuine heart can turn any tide.

Always
Live in the
Moment that you have
While letting bygones be gone,
Resist the temptation to wallow in pride.
Accept the flaw of others and your own.
Extend grace to all men,
While forgetting your own needs.
Esteem those things that are true
And will light your life
Through the dark
That you encounter.

when we fall prey to complacency

and comfortably wallow in abject sloth,

we suffocate motivation in its nascency.

eschew apathy and inactivity; rise above both!

Silver lake rains

The rain shall wash all sins,
Making smiles from grins.
We wallow in pain,
When we see all in vain
No thunder shall shake your beauty,
Your innocence is nothing more than purity.
Smelling your scent from miles away,
Is more than I need in a summer day
Rain drops drumming on my skin,
After all grey skies bring joy within.

Premium Member 'don'T Wallow In Them'

Don’t pretend you have it all together just to fall apart at the point where things are about to fall into place – Get into your emotions but don’t wallow in them that isn’t progress it’s called being stagnant –
Be bold enough to carry on – You got this!

Yet we wallow in
Poverty

Yet we live
Like we got nothing

Yet circumstances
Around us
Has a lot less good
To write about

Above all Africa richest
Continent on planet earth

Yet is obvious
How the horse is so
Tasty in a river
Full of water

When they wallow in luxury
Yet groan in their greed,
Restless as restless could be;

Not aware of self's real need,
Nor listening to wisdom's words,
Too sure of their crooked creed;

-They could have flown like birds
Quite individual and free,
Not driven by desire in herds-

Not crown but scum of the city,
They deserve not awe but our pity.
