~ a thought feather floating down
~ haiku writes itself
desire begets pain
birthing again and again
wabi sabi stain
bliss in permanence
upon desire transcendence
face of innocence

our body signals
flickers of life’s flow
mindfully feel the waves
that leave wabi-sabi stains
as we are thus uniquely shaped
in the womb of the universe
entwined with existence
adding to it a flavour
accentuating love
14-January-2023
balancing the inward and outward
marrying material and spiritual as an artform
showcasing the objective and subjective
conjuring both philosophical construct and aesthetic ideal
the aspiration a way of life

A POETIC PERSPECTIVE ON
IMPERFECTION AND PERFECTION
The wabi sabi
Of our lives today, reflect
God’s healing grace:-
Perfection on earth
Must never be desired here:
This is not heaven:-
Being the best you can
Here on earth, just may send you
Up to heaven’s door:-
Wabi-sabi stain beautiful
Scars our soul did endure
Mind-body vessel, with love full
We shine! Our heart is pure
We fall, to rise erect
Bliss suffused stance perfect
Deeds, as God does direct
Let’s transmute erst pain

we opted for a want
to create a slight slant
in as an imbalance
although with nonchalance
that energies kinetic
pulse of love aesthetic
induces polarities to converge
manifesting a bliss surge
within
desires to rest lain
our wabi-sabi stain
shaped in line of duty
enhances our soul’s beauty
Nothing can dim the light that shines from within. ~Maya Angelou
You are perfect
in all of your imperfections.
What imperfections?
I ask.
Exactly!
He responds.
it was not true love
the only true love is God
and Christ on the cross
bearing the imperfections
so light can shine out from me
Wabi-Sabi stain
Wabi-Sabi stain, our soul wears
We review in wonder
We are healed when love with love pairs
Birthing soundless thunder
We feel magnetic heat
Benign burn, head to feet
In sync with God’s bliss beat
Heart’s now free from pain

Come and see me now—
what survived the silent rift
of broken torn years,
re-shaped in the gathering,
to fill my dark silhouette.
Come and see what changed
when the fractures let light in
highlighting my flaws
Kintsugi, Wabi-Sabi
exulting imperfection.
Come and see and stay
with me for a day, a while,
sharing what I was,
what I'll never now become
content within my own skin.
Kind, gentle and mindful, the way to be,
imbibing God’s light through the pores of space,
benedictions of grace that lets us see,
how our Father holds us in close embrace,
as steps to heaven we slowly retrace.
Benign bliss burns bestowed etched on our soul,
are wabi-sabi stains that make us whole,
of a life fully lived, divine entwined,
in vibrant nonchalance playing our role,
our softened heart, with love and light aligned.
The cut unkind, magnified by our mind
became a thought spiral, contracting soul
until caress divine, released it’s bind,
healing our wounded heart, making us whole,
that presence continues its earth life goal.
Pain borne wabi-sabi stains beautify
essence of presence here before we die,
signalling our ascent, as we consent
to pulsations of love as heart does sigh,
nestled in bliss, our native element.

stuporous
guard down
past tendencies
rise within instinctively
manifesting as rage
condoned by ego
as being fleeting
thus leaving residue
of past animal nature
within our radiant soul
the faint traces
of identity nurtured
enables us to bilocate
between the immanent
and the transcendent
unique wabi-sabi stains
like the spots on the moon
diminish not soul’s beauty
but rather accentuate
innate luminosity
we forgive ourself
21-March-2023
In this world,
we are all transients,
traveling to the beat
of a mortal drum,
on a latent path
that only the souls
can see,
waiting for that moment
when we give back
our borrowed light.
Like a star,
we can shed our light
in the night
and lose our radiance
in the day,
to depend on the sun,
because, it is through this
that we realize,
we are not perfect
and we are interdependent.
When we get broken,
we need someone to repair us.
Shattered I, in countless pieces,
Abandoned in the wake of that which me befell.
Dust settles, and I retrieve the debris of who I was,
Not knowing yet what I will become.
Broken me…but can be mended
Fragments mine, in time, reshaping,
Finding form and beauty in the chaos –
A murmuration of those shards that were, are, and will be me.
Of destruction myself reborn,
Ever to be fractured and remade,
Never static nor complete…
For even in death, I will be changed.
WABI-SABI
The vase lay broken on the floor
Pieces scattered, whole no more
Collected, to try and make again
Yet its beauty may forever wane
Glue and gold wire used to repair
Never to be perfect as I’m aware
Yet still is worthy of my attention
And ongoing healing intervention
Cracks now mended, yet still seen
A sad reflection of what it’s been
No longer stood in pride of place
Almost ashamed to show its face
A hint of the beauty gone before
One missing piece is its tiny flaw
