Secret Love By Victoria Anderson-Throop
O Mighty Silent Mountain
Shift snow, melt his heart--
Secretly send him to me.

black ice fools
swans’ midnight landing
feathers slide
winds laughter
tickles newborn twigs

HEARTACHE OF BEAUTY
Distant Thunder rumbled
Grabbed my sinuous wanton sunbeam
Who left without a kiss

England's staid Queen Victoria
Yearned for NYC's Waldorf Astoria
Victoria's secret? She was no prude
Greeted room service completely nude
Victorian art is quite clean
Though Roman and Greek are obscene
The Queen did not care
That David was bare
But he was quite shy of the mean!
SWINGING MORNING JOY
The leaves fly by-- my toes reach out
In swooping joy-- I roar and shout!

If someone
does not want me
it is not the end of the world
But
if someone do not want me
the world is nothing but ending

Tiger, tiger don’t be sad
Last week Rory beat you bad
Now you both really look green
World cup holes are really mean.

"Bellows",
bellows the blacksmith
the thatched roof crofter's cottage
so beautiful
in the cottage garden
the wild pink heather evokes
fond memories of Victoria.
There was a man named Pauls
Who was born near the Victoria falls
Had a male organ on his fore head
Which almost killed him dead
For the sacks hung over his eye balls
Victoria, queen,
as a youngster quite lean,
had nine children and grew rather fat,
but Albert and John Brown both loved her like that!
for Andrea's clerihew contest
Who in hell is Victoria Smith?
A depressed young teen tortured
Praying for death,
A man craving to be
Victim, hapless and abused
A sad poet masochist ?
Is she weird or what?
PLAIN SERENGETI
Zebra herds nudge babes along
Low slung sun burns shaded eyes
Shallow pools hide fish from hawks
Peace of Paradise

Indigo's heat...

Don Johnson
Fireworks celebrating Victoria Day
Have a strange effect on Annie, she hides away
Cowering from the sounds
Explosions all around
It's extremely disturbing to survey
The Tanning Bed
By Elton Camp
Victoria wanted to get a healthy tan
So it was to the tanning bed she ran
It was there she learned of carcinoma
And all got worse, it was melanoma
LONELY ALASKA APRIL NIGHT
Snow flakes dodge
Unrequited love beam
Street light's kiss

Bleading the tears of pain and sorrow until a new day comes tomorrow, as I wait
for a new day to come so I can try to do things right i stay up until morning light.
