My mind is like a playground,
where endless thoughts skitter rapidly.
Pining to be heard they appear unbound,
but few morph into words, to be displayed in ink.
When the bell rings and recess ends,
most vaporize, because they stink.

Spiral'd sinews of vapor vaporize
The huddled helpless. Its mocking eye

Unmerciful, rise

The battering terror, no defense.
Tidal surge:
Salacious mermaid beached.
One's life regained no recompense.
A safe and further shore unreached.

Occasionally, with nuggets of wisdom, I’m blessed,
but often they vaporize while I’m getting dressed.
From stressful situations I must quickly disengage,
only then will these nuggets flow from pen to page.
The nuggets are God sent having a brief lifespan,
so they must find my paper as fast as they can.
They’re not mine to hold but were given to share,
and are oft meant for one, of whom I’m not aware.
