You Are a Stencil

I am a pencil,
in this day and age,
computer rage,
I am a pencil,
unused,
but you chew on me for inspiration,
I am a pencil.

Poetry Escapes Me

Don't tease me with words,
they fly away uncaged birds
and none fill the lines
except the ink flow unused
as it waits release to speak.

Premium Member I'm an expert word inventor

Why does English have so many words
that have two or more meanings attached

There's many unused letter combos
(which my "invalid" Scrabble words hatched!)

Premium Member Pink Fancy Soap

Pink fancy soap often left an unused scent sensation,
More or less aesthetic used only as a pink decoration
Upon the left back corner of the vanity mirror and sink.

Unused Sizes

Look at size,
From the atom,
To mountains,
To planets,
To galaxies,
We are aware,
Of a lot of spectrum,
But how much of it,
We can move and use,
Only a little,
Most of it is beyond,
And on a natural “refuse”.

           Fireworks
    dance in my eyes,
    you’re my January;
An unused breed of attitude;
             Poppin’
 in with an aphrodisiac;
My virtue is gift wrapped,
    will you break me
            tonight?

Premium Member office space that has never sold

A spacious office was big and bold
Now it is an unused space, painted bold
There is a hut-like cubbyhole with mold
To get in there, your legs have to fold
The air is on high, so this space is cold
Hoarder-messy, it has never sold

Premium Member Trivial Pursuit

Listen to poem:
Beyond
These trivial pursuits
The day looms long,
Largely unused, unplanned,
Promising unimportant
Activities.
Anticipating alternatives,
Inertly I idle,
Mind meandering meaninglessly,
Mildly morose,
Diffident, diffuse,
And aimless.

An Unused Life

I want a life with no regrets
one shiny, bright, and new
bereft of stains and rips and tears
untarnished and unused.

No dents or dings, not slightly worn
refurbished just won't do
I want a life with no regrets
and I want it minus you.

The Red of Anger

Armed with the proper medicine

To face the awakening Armageddon

Tap into a berserker's adrenaline

Hurricane apocalypse gasoline felon

My brain food is the unused mind

I eat from your split melon

I hope now I got your full attention

Premium Member Conclusions

Don't let anyone
with bad eyebrows give you life
advice - it ends badly.

I don't mind seeing my ex with
someone else - I usually donate
unused things to the less fortunate.

I wonder how many
calories I burn jumping
to wrong conclusions.
Form: Senryu

Hit and Miss

I don't breathe,
The air only escapes,
Out of holes in my neck,
Dripping words down onto my hands,
After applying exasperated ink,
The exhausted paper drapes,
As the second joker in a deck,
Unused in games of sport and unwanted by popular demand.

Rusty

Hello again my old old friends
It's time to sing along again

A sweet song of long harsh cues
And war between a lovely two

Here I am rusty yet bright
New colors and an unused light

Hello again my old old friends
Hello
Hello
I'm Back...
Again...
Again.

Vicious Cycle

You cannot choose not to think
And hope for a change

Think out of the box
If you must leave the cycle
In life, it goes to return

You are blessed with a brain for a reason
Ignoring it is inviting doom
If you leave it unused
Many are ready to control you

Premium Member Ultimate Poem On My Mind

Brilliant unused ideas hard to find
Some flit by but are any of them whole?
Fantastical theories parade in my mind
But I want the ones that entice my soul
To write ultimate poem is my goal
Frown upon finish for this not the one
Forgetting today that writing is fun

Puzzle

The pieces fit together-
I know they do.

I just can’t find the right pieces-
I can’t figure this puzzle out.

The pieces: all a scattered mess.
How do I string them together?

Piles upon piles-
Abandoned.
Unused.

But they have to have a use-
I know they do.

once impulsive now

deserted forsaken
                  cast aside

ditched
                 unused

neglected

Empty Stares

empty stares
glazed over
gazes spread
across their
faces
empty mental space
is never able to be filled
there exists to much
unused mental real estate
within their empty heads
unfathomable stupidity
goes far beyond what the

comprehend

Premium Member Nostalgia In the Haze

intimate season abode
snow gateway
towel
sands at sundown

keep an eye out
in the roadways

I bore a portrait
because it ne'er was

keep it veiled
in the cloud
from my musings
only this
Wandering verdict
echo
unused passion

If I Could

If I could
if they let me.
truly I say to you!
I would expel the rifle
that inhabits my unconscious,
would deflate all tricks,
unused
would deflect everything
impossible to savor me
in full consciousness...
I would abandon the spiritual void
to live naked
and full for love...!
