I tune in, tune out
Truths, lies, a mix in between
Now shut the hell up!...

Premium Member Train To Albany
I stand on a train to Albany
Whistling a tune out of key
I get many looks
Thrown are many books
As I am trying to sing while I pee

A Single Dream
I am lying on the ground
Trying to tune out the sound
The sound of the screams
Oh how I hope this is a dream

Everything is blurry
I am now running
From everything that I see
The people the trees
The horror

Oh how the dream
Oh how the dream...

Premium Member at the end of the day
put up my feet and tune out
my favourite music in the background
forget the daily grind
no worries no busy mind
brush free the day's cobwebs
smile to myself and relax
shake off the weight of the world

Glass Rod
Glass Rod

You push me around
with careless hands
like I'm a glass rod
on a wind chime
forcing a word
a tune out of me
as the thin thread
I dangle from wavers
and I hold on
another day
before it breaks
and I detach
from the world I know
crumbling
shattering into pieces...

Conflict
End the conflict now
Be not afraid to hear it
Let it fall softly

Listen to the wound
Allow the healing to begin
You do not know it

The reality
Eludes even the wise ones
Striving for freedom

You cannot trust that
Your influence can be heard
Worlds are so varied

Breathing the same air
How can we tune out our pain
Finding our own peace?...

Just You and Me Let's Tune Out the World
I know it's not easy for us to be together but we will
survive this stormy weather others may look down
on us and cause a fuss they will never understand
but I have a plan. If you love me as much as you say
let's just run away, if you need me like I need you then
tell me our love is true. Promise me you'll never let go
of me even when others are to blind to see. Just you
and me let's tune out the world no matter what you'll
always be my girl....

Some Noises
Some noises startle, jolt or jar
While others soothe or soften.
We perk up for the new but tune out
Those we hear quite often.

To locals, city sirens make
The tiniest impression
But visitors consider them
A barbarous transgression.

The hum of traffic rolling by
To urbanites equates
With cricket chirps or chickadees
In countryside debates.

The noises that surround us
Are as varied as our homes
Or the subjects and the wording
Of a plethora of poems....
