Breaking Free

the world outside surrounds me
Setting traps and digging holes
to slow my motion down

Anyone up at three in the morning,
While most humans in our world are at rest?

Poets on their penned treadmills run,
Creating beauty, having scintillating
aromatic coffees and teas, the best.
Utterly obsessed with creating beauty,yes!

Then with love and joy,so divine,
Open their yawning front doors at dawn,
To stand on tip toes and kiss the poet's
very special star...the rising sun.
