no gain without pain
you gotta push on, right through
to the bitter end
it's just in sight, bend, bend, bend ~
moan, groan, scream ~ Oh my Hammie !

I Am Woman

I am a woman
a player
a saivior
a friend
I am a mom
a warrior to the bitter end
I am a lover
that bends all my needs
i am a singer
that needs to breath
i am a lion
that cant be tamed
i have many names
but I
am a woman

Political Damage

Political Damage

When minds contend
must each depend
on delivering cuts
that may never mend?

When ideas offend
do each then defend
their hurtul slings
to the bitter end?

When words betray,
can they then defray
the heavy costs
of the public's dismay?

When platforms collide
does each then divide
into tattered shreds,
comity denied?

Farewell You

Grief felt as the news is broke
Sudden gasp, hold back the choke
Filling up inside with tears
Remembering many happy years
Childhood chimes around in mind
Little actions always kind
Brave he was to the bitter end
Sweet his life every twist and bend
Farewell service now to come
Eighty five the final sum
Years are gone
Life past
Knowing
Not one
Shall last

Dear friend of longstanding honor Come, sit beside me here My tale of woe is a yawner, But, one fitting your ear. My sin uneventful. She was most resentful, Not so consentual. You have stayed with me to the bitter end So sorry I cheated on her, dear friend.

Premium Member The straw that breaks the camel's back

I run in circles all day long
doing a heap of chores and
getting things done
but I'll tell you what I truly find exhausting.
It's the waiting and not knowing,
it sets me back and slows me down.
It frustrates me to the bitter end.

Instead of multitasking
I end up multimasking
juggling and pretending
to be the patient person
that I'm really not.

Jealousy never ages well...
like a 70-year-old bow legged harlot.
Every year the mascara painted thicker
the strut less arrogant
with every sticky minute
no more virgin revelations
coming off clownish lips or pen...
A discarded dried-up turd...
to the bitter end.

Anger, the only remaining vice
of a burned-out free-falling life
So, sip your cold black coffee
From a cracked test tube
labeled "failed experiment".

Bless My Beer

When friends do stray
And days grow drear;
It's nice to know
I can sip a beer.

Oh bless my beer
To the bitter end;
That foam topped glass
Is my best friend.

When I'm feeling blue
It is always here;
On a moment’s notice
The warmth is cheer.

You've seen me through
A marriage thrice;
And although those times
Were not so nice;
I always knew
I could depend on you.

Sound Off

We wear are days on our skin
Truth seeking pilgrims in the land of the grim
So long ago the winds rustle in,
Lost cities filled with neighborhood friends

We wake up to a day we try and defend
Useless wars we wage to the end
Betting on stars to the bitter end
Cosmic chapters and newest trends

Hillside views and perfect spots
Mangled up bones and flowerpots
Surface allusion and sandy thoughts
To go on forever or just sound off......

I am alive,
I wonder what is next,
I hear the fire,
I see the enemy,
I want to live,
I am afraid,
I pretend I'm not here,
I feel the shaking of the ground,
I touch the my muddy trench,
I worry for the next attack,
I cry in my sleep,
I am done killing,
I understand I must fight to the bitter end,
I say the war should be over,
I dream of a better place,
I try to cope with the dead beside me,
I hope my fellow soldiers fight beside me,
I am the front line.

Nobel Autumn

Nobel autumn.

Rustling winds expose your frame,
To cold, damp and dreaded name.
Wind scars slash at dying summer,
Rain re-echo’s the little drummer.
Middle aged gnarled to aching spur,
Boorish zephyr chills a dreaded allure.

 Stooped, naked, shamed to despair,
You gather your strength. Send a flare.
Of gold, ochre, saffron flames of red,
A last stand, against the gelid dread.
As Cu Chulainn fought to the bitter end,
You flicker gleam my autumn friend.

Wretched Place

I wonder where I will go
When I leave this wretched place
What will I bring to the hell
I have lived
Never a smile upon my face
No one hears the moanfull cries
Or listens to the sad goodbyes
Of a man who’s dreams all die
At the hands of those he loved
But life and love are seldom fair
This is the cross that I must bare
When I’m gone who will care
When I look there’s no one there
Pain and sadness my only friend
Right to the bitter end
Never my broken heart to mend.

Shadows of My Soul

The shadows of my soul
are ones I fear will show.
I've lived my life each day
chasing them away.

I have pushed and pulled
my cross in life.
Walked it through
the darkest night.

Many times I came to thee
with my love, bent my knee.
Tears today gone tomorrow
you carried away all my sorrow.

You've been there with me
my faithful friend.
Holding my hand
to the bitter end.

Only you can really know
how my story will be told.
The footprints on my dusty road
mark the Shadows of my Soul.
