Covid-19 Dead End
Do stop your moaning, for Heaven's Sake!
You're not the first to bellyache!
You can scowl, growl, or howl
Or throw in the towel
But no one can go to your Wake!...

My Husband
He looks into my eyes, his love and faith never a disguise. When times are tough, and I'm
about ready to throw in the towel, he'll say little things to boost my moral....

Holding on to hope
There is no other way
Can’t throw in the towel
And just toss it all away

Progress piling up
Growing as we go
The path won't be easy
But this we already know

Ready for the work
Eager to transcend
The road goes on forever
The journey never ends...

Organist
That Hammond B3 can spit and growl,
Any other organ will throw in the towel...
Add a nice Rhodes piano to the mix,
And you have a sound that you'll never need to fix

Ah, a chance at a pipe organ would be ecstasy,
And likely the highlight of my life,
But a hot jam with good musicians,
Is more orgasmic than the most beautiful a wife....

Throw In the Towel
Yield to the superior force of that warm, friendly welcome.
Surrender to that well-being of consolatory, feel-good territory.
Submit to a complimented treatment of mental repose for the wayworn;
Capitulate to a gentle and melodious retreat secluded in a shiny enchantment
Of porcelain and metal that will infiltrate your innermost courtyard....

Siblings
the house was built without cement
the garden without soil to grow in
throw in the towel the family creed
and greed a concept out of reach.

survive or thrive
death counts no difference
claims them one by one

time marks the path of graft and hope
with no account of gain or loss
tossed into life a relative thing
and left to fight as they will....

Unknown
Love till it hurts,

Wipe the tears no one sees,

And throw in the towel.

Give your best and rest,

Lest you lose all to nought.

It's still a beautiful world...

The skies may miss the moon,

That makes all seem aglow and bright...

but the skies will still be...

Beautiful, though dark and lonely ...

Because you are not here.

So long...missed you for too long,

Miss you till the end of time....

Messed Up World
The world we live in is no joke.
Everything we have is going up in smoke.

 The world's money is tight,
foreclosures have no end in sight.

 Bankers gotta make deals
Car makers can't grip their wheels.

The world is at war and still there's no cure
for cancer that knocks on our door.

Our world is in trouble ,we need help on the double.
If we don't stop now and throw in the towel,

 It isn't a joke
that we'll end up in smoke....

Why
Getting sick of bullshit
Sick of it all.
I wanna throw in the towel
And not think of it anymore.
"Everything that happens,
Happens for a reason"
Is what you tell me
But I ain't believing.
Is this really my life?
Or a bad dream that
I can't wait up from.
When will someone
Come wake me up.
Tell me it wasn't real
And that my life is perfect.
But perfection you see
Is only in fairy tales.
Sadly it's not for me.
This is reality,
And I'm sick of it all....

Rugged Weather Waves Farewell
R-ugged weather waves farewell,
O-ne warm day is welcomed;
N-ight cold chill passes by,
N-ew dawn's wind is calm.
I-solated rain showers stay away from the view;
E-vening shadows disappear into the dark, gray, and blue.

P-ink skyline up above
I-s sharing the white cloud;
E-ach ray from the beacon
D-oes shine feeling proud.
A-pril fifteenth Saturday, don't throw in the towel;
D-efend the faith at all times, rugged weather waves farewell....

Vowels
In “Words with Friends,” I want to howl
When playing while needing a vowel.
	Unless I choose “Swap”
	My chances will stop;
I might as well throw in the towel.

Yet sometimes I’m stuck with a glut
Of vowels – I have nothing but.
	I’ve nowhere to go;
	My points stay down low.
It’s obvious I’m in a rut.

We all know in gaming, of course,
There’s no room for bile or remorse.
We play what we get -
	Rejoice or regret -
Then hop right back up on the horse....

Dance In Victory
When I tried you didn't,
When I loved you didn't
When I threw in the towel to please you,
My sister stood up for me,
Opened your eyes
And then you apologized...
Now you tried but I can't
You loved but I can't
You will throw in the towel soon,
For you never were known to try to long...
And now the game is over...
Your an abuser...
And I was raised to win
...
And I have.
I didn't take my life
And yes you damaged me
But I still got up
And I'll dance in victory....

Premium Member No Mas, No Mas
No Mas, No Mas Written: by Tom Wright February 2015 Soon after rising my thought process, Becomes consumed by negativity; Not what I desire, but what life has bequeathed me, Perhaps that is all the respect I’ve earned. Most days, I sit, feeling like a broken man, Life has knocked me down, but never out, I have fought a good fight and the final round Finds me behind on the scorecard, And about to cry No Mas, No Mas, And throw in the towel;

Not All Is Lost
I feel myself faltering,
Slowly slipping,
The facade is falling.
I suck at pretending
To be okay,
When I want to give up.
I feel like an eff up.
I can’t afford to fail.
I’ve got too much to lose,
To throw in the towel now.
I am strong,
Relapses do not define me.
I can still shoot for sobriety,
Save me a seat to the show.
I just had to rewind a little,
I’m not done yet,
My journey continues on,
Because I can overcome
This and anything.
Let recovery win,
Wake up,
me....

I'M Not a Failure
When I’ve tried and don’t succeed
That doesn’t make me a failure,
But if I give up and throw in the towel
I‘d be setting my self up for disaster

Situations may not work out as plan,
I'll Keep trying, and try again
I may fail at one thing or even another,
But i won't stay in that comfort zone forever.

Some set backs are temporary, and are part of life
If i fail at one thing i will try another
Failure at some things may need to teach me
lesson that will help me excel and grow....
