Vowels

In “Words with Friends,” I want to howl
When playing while needing a vowel.
	Unless I choose “Swap”
	My chances will stop;
I might as well throw in the towel.

Yet sometimes I’m stuck with a glut
Of vowels – I have nothing but.
	I’ve nowhere to go;
	My points stay down low.
It’s obvious I’m in a rut.

We all know in gaming, of course,
There’s no room for bile or remorse.
	We play what we get -
	Rejoice or regret -
Then hop right back up on the horse.

Never heard of this word game, Ilene. I like playing scrabble or doing crossword puzzles. Well, I see you've been busy writing, and I've read all your most recent posts. Thanks for reading my collage poem. It's based on a true fact while on a morning walk a few years ago. / M

Sounds a lot like scrabble, Mrs Ilene, my favorite game. It is always fun to win but I really get enjoyment watching others win, fair and square of course.
