Trapped
Trapped, he thirsted for water
But he was doomed for slaughter
Felt his life force fade
His lifeless body laid
There thinking he was a marauder...

Morning Run
As
the sweat
rolled down the
nape of his neck,
I thirsted for his
strong hold and his sweet touch.
I wanted to stop him and
talk; but I just watched him pass by
as I smiled at him and he smiled back.
His sparkling eyes say I should try again!...

Rustled Understandings
When a man understands the brilliance of nature, his voice is thirsted for like the babbling brook, and has an inherent influence, that is as relished as the wind rustling the leaves of a tree.

Vaccination
Whatever mix of proteins poured
With that inoculation draught
Drunk by my vein, not thirsted for,
But sipped in the subtle rhythms
Of pulse beat, of embodiment,
Moulds to the clay that forms myself,
I know only shameful nothing,
And in my unproud ignorance
Is only a child’s solemn trust
In all that must be, for all good....

Luna's Pale Light
Light shimmered on the lake at moonrise, with a breathtaking view that glimmered. Beneath the glow of Luna's pale luminance, the night was calm on the banks of the firth except for the cooing of a lonesome dove, who thirsted like me, yearning to be loved. These Lines
I have waited
And still wait
For break of dawn
and Nita, my woman

I have sorrowed
And still sorrow
This hook of fate
Delay not my woman!

I have thirsted
And still thirst
At the fountain of love
And still wait for her.

Now the sun has risen
And workers hurry to town
And children back to school
But still no sign of Nita!

Nita, if these lines
should reach you
Hasten!
My heart is sore with yearning!...

Gee Whiz
Gee Whiz
I ate a sandwich made of wurst
with four large beers to quench my thirst
because my clothing was of worsted
I was extremely hot and really thirsted
I drank some more and nearly bursted
I ran to the john to relieve my pain
I had to wait for I wasn't firsted
when it was free I hurriedly ran
the whiz came out like heavy rain
after relief I repeated the act
and then went home for another snack

Well of Living Water
By Jacobs well he sat; a stranger to me
I came to draw water for I thirsted so
As I turned to go, he gently said, “Come
drink freely, I have water for which you do not know.
There are many fountains from where water freely flows,
but there is only one that can satisfy the soul.
My fountain flows from on high a well of living water
that shall never run dry ”.
Now I am drinking from a fountain where I will ever abide and
My soul is satisfied....
