A funny guy went to town with glee,
Came home with a rat, you see.
His wife was quite cross,
With a stinky meal toss,
Said, "Next time, bring home takeout for me!"

A mantis so dapper and green,
Ordered takeout in gourmet scene.
He paid with a leaf,
Causing waiter great grief,
"Sir, we only take cash, you've been mean!"

With a wok, they cook some great delights.
There they are slaving during days and nights.
Their menu has great variety.
Pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp all look great to me.
You are in for a treat without a doubt
when you go for some CHINESE TAKEOUT

Light Verse
in most human endeavors
there are those items that just
don't quite fit in with the rest of the projects
from batteries to rubber bands
to unused takeout menus there is
only one place to find what you need
none other then the
family junk drawer
thats right folks !
the junk drawer
we really need to clean that
Out !
from mama to me now
I 've taken over the junk drawer
just call me a pack rat LOL

She waits, a grounded eagle, eating takeout, passing time,
And stares, a crippled hunter, chasing salmon of the mind.
She courts a passing breeze; hopeless passion
stirs her wings,
But she must sit, a grounded eagle, dreaming dreams
of bygone things.
Note: Sitka was a bald eagle I once had the privilege to know.
She broke one of her wings flying into a power line and was
grounded for the rest of her life.

Sun angles in on the room just so
There's a strip of light on the floor for my dog
Sirens outside if you pay attention
AC doing its best
Nothing in the fridge
But condiments and expired takeout
No money to shop for food
Finish my book
Stare at the wall
Is this what it's all about
I must be missing something
I was born without hunger
Watch other people
They seem so fake
Like a bad sitcom
Is anyone happy
Is anyone sane
The dog licks his ass and falls asleep
He's got it all figured out
