Dante's Razor
Shave the devil naked
get that tail between his legs
Leave him bald and impotent
all passion left in dregs
Fleece this vile pestilence
in the flames his fate ensnared
Shear what he embraces most
— temptations curse laid bare
(Dreamsleep: December, 2023)

Animal
I felt like I had to cower,
like I was some sort of dog.
Tail between my legs
couldn't see through your fog.

Golden In the Shade - Tanka
I've stirred up the dust
where I used to turn him loose
so he could run free-
Squirrels may be glad he is gone

wifedom
tail between her legs
a young girl who should be singing songs
on stages
around the world fell for
lust and a redhead
a burly bossy handsome man
whos charm for me was transparant
but then
I've seen him before
and this was her
first time....

His pompous attitude blowing up his head like a rooster’s comb.
But when the rest go after him, he slips and slides down on his back.
Landing in a foxhole, alone and embarrassed – possibly ashamed even.
He can barely pull himself out of the mire and the muck.
He is stepping on his hang dog jowls, looking silly
We try not to laugh, but some of us are unsuccessful,
Remembering how pompous he was in the beginning....
